Anyone else have a relative or friend that shares a famous
Person's name?

I've had a serious crush on your cousin for more than 30 years. 092.gif

Not introducing to my wife HD........... Two air stewardesses while flying to warmer climes, one well known local millionaire in a restaurant on the Sandbanks Peninsula and countless others have genuinely mistaken my wife for Helen Mirren!!
Yeah I know ........lucky b
Been married 42 years
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

My Grandad is called Cyril Smith God rest his soul. He was a great family man and my hero as a boy growing up. He loved his name because there wasn't many Cyril's about.

Unfortunately for him there was a certain MP who shared not only first names but surname too.

Was he fat ?

I met William Pitt, the Liberal MP (of the 1980s, not his famous predecessors) while on holiday and he was telling me that when Cyril Smith visited him he was so huge that he couldn't shut the loo door behind him. Not a pretty sight, I'm sure.

I have a friend called Steve Davies who plays in a snooker league and who gets a short-term advantage when he puts his name on the entry sheet. he tells me that the advantage evaporates as soon as he starts to play...

Also had a friend called Dick Whittington. I told him that he should stand for Mayor of London (the first time around, when Livingstone got in) and he asked me why. "Because you'd get in easy with a name like that and it's a fat salary!".

Worked with a bloke called Johnny Haynes.

Woolly Mammoth

I once knew a bloke who had a mate whose wife had a sister who was married to a geezer whose cousins husband had an uncle who had a Sword fence with Sir Craven of Cottage.

If I remember correctly Helen Mirren was in the long good Friday and Charlie from casualty was in the film and in a lift he said to Helen "I would like to lick you all over"so would I

He did indeed. A man of impeccable taste.
(And a superb movie.)

Artful Dodger

I work with a Scotsman called Alan Shearer and used to work with a guy called Paul Ince. Sadly (for them mainly), neither bear much resemblance to the footballers!

When I was recruiting I once received a CV from a bloke called Alan Shearer.

When we moved into our present address, our local vicar's name was Tina Turner - just not that one.
