Looks like Southgate is saving his No.1 keeper for the Euro matches to come (Butland 1st half, Bond 2nd half)!

Alternative (and more likely) interpretation = Marcus will be picking splinters out of his backside when he returns to us.

It's too bad.  I actuall like Marcus and think he could develop in to something.

Can't remember many great keepers that were great before they were in their mid-20s at the earliest. Betts has a lot to learn, but he's a fine young keeper.
