Moussa Called Up

Moussa Dembélé has been called up by France ahead of this month's UEFA Under-19 Championship.

The Fulham striker replaces Châteauroux forward Ulrich Nnomo, who has withdrawn from the squad through injury.

France - who beat England to secure their place in the Finals - are in Group A alongside hosts Greece, Ukraine and Austria, whom they kick off against on Monday.

The Netherlands, Russia, Spain and Germany make up Group B, with the top two from each group progressing to the Semi-Finals. The Final will be played on Sunday 19th July.

The Craven Corner: Creative signings bring excitement to Fulham as overhaul continues

New Fulham signing Tom Cairney in action (Photo by Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)

Our Fulham blogger is pleased with the club's transfer business so far.

Fulham's summer rebuild is in full flow with the latest addition being Tom Cairney from Blackburn Rovers - a signing that proves Mike Rigg and Kit Symons are looking to add real quality to the side with players who will also have re-sell value.

Tom Cairney provides another creative option in the centre of the park and some may argue that with him Fulham have finally replaced Danny Murphy. He is still learning the game and will only become a better player with time, and although we have spent £3.5m on him considering his age there's a strong chance that valuation will only rise.

Having also signed Ben Pringle from Rotherham the club have recruited two highly creative players and could make it three with Jamie O'Hara currently on trial.

I'm definitely hoping that O'Hara will join as soon as possible as the former Spurs man has all the qualities that Fulham require. With his passing range and quality from dead ball situations, he'd prove to be an important asset to the club.

After a few loan spells at different clubs in recent years Fulham can provide him with stability and the right platform to play his best football. He is incredibly talented and with him wanting to return to London and finally out of the media pages I think Jamie will relish the chance to play at the Cottage. He's arguably in his prime and those few years of experience will be invaluable in terms of development for players like Lasse Vigen Christensen and Emerson Hyndman.

Not too much has happened on the exit front just yet though. There is still a lot of media speculation around the clubs interested in Bryan Ruiz & Kostas Mitroglou. Both will leave, but the club will do their best to maximise any fee received, so while it may delay the process slightly it will provide the financial firepower to fund the rebuild.

It was pleasing to see that Thomas Eisfeld returned to pre-season training, with the young German still unsure of his long term future. A player I feel has a strong future at the club and after an impressive loan spell at Bochum, I'm hoping Symons gives him a second chance.

Finally, rumours continue to run wild surrounding Patrick Roberts. He returned to pre-season training this week, which means nothing is completed just yet. Yes I'd love to see him sign a new deal, but I am also pleased that the board are holding out for a better offer from Manchester City.

Swansea City's Jazz Richards tipped to seal Fulham move

JAZZ Richards could be about to call time on his Swansea City career by signing for Fulham on a permanent basis.

The Cottagers are keen to re-sign Richards after the Wales right-back's loan spell in West London last season.

And amid talk of a £500,000 fee being agreed with a fee, there are reports that Richards is heading to Fulham for a medical.

The 24-year-old local lad reported for the start of pre-season training last weekend, but it seems inevitable that he will move on.

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have also been linked with Richards on the back of his fine performance for Wales against Belgium in June.

But it seems Fulham are in pole position to sign a player who is behind Kyle Naughton and Angel Rangel in the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium.

Fulham Lose Out on Striker Target

Not too long ago there was the hint of a suggestion that Fulham Football Club were in the race to sign the Leicester City forward Chris Wood.

However, at the time of writing it was also stated that it was more than likely that the New Zealand striker would be opting for a move to either Wolverhampton Wanderers or Leeds United.

Today, the first day of the transfer window being officially open, it has been announced that the 23-year-old striker has agreed to join Leeds United, thereby ending any interest we may, or may not, officially have had.

But like they say, there are plenty of more fish in the sea.

Tom Cairney targets Premier League football with Fulham after Blackburn Rovers exit

MIDFIELDER Tom Cairney is targeting Premier League football with Fulham after his switch from Blackburn Rovers.

The 24-year-old moves to Craven Cottage on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

He told Fulham's official website: "I'm delighted. Now I'm just so looking forward to getting started and meeting the boys.

"The hard work starts now because it's pre-season but I can't wait to get back here, get settled and get in amongst it.

"For most of my life Fulham have been a Premier League club and have only been out of it for a year. They've had some great players over the years and it's a very attractive club to come to.

"Every player wants to play in the Premier League and if I can do that with Fulham that would be fantastic."

Deal Close: Swansea City defender set for Fulham medical ahead of permanent move

Swansea City defender Jazz Richards will have a medical at Fulham on Wednesday ahead of a permanent move to the Championship club, according to Sky Sports' Amy Lewis.

It has been rumoured for some time that the 24-year-old would be making the move to Craven Cottage, but talks between the two clubs appeared to have broken down on Tuesday and the deal looked to be in jeopardy.

However, it now seems as though the differences have been resolved and, barring any problems found during the medical examinations, the former Cardiff City trainee will join Kit Symons' side.

Right-back Richards joined the Swans in 2009 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the club, as well as having loan spells at Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town.

He spent the second half of last season on loan a Fulham, playing 14 times as the Cottagers finished 17th in the Championship.

Fulham secure Swansea man and make bid for £1m Championship midfielder

Fulham are set to complete the signing of Swansea full-back Jazz Richards and have made a second bid for Wolves' Kevin McDonald, according to reports.

Richards, who started for Wales against Belgium last month, is undergoing a medical on Wednesday according to the Daily Mail ahead of his transfer, believed to be in the region of £500,000.

That move will see the right-back return to a club where he spent the end of last season on loan and he will be reunited with Kit Symons.

Symons is also said to have made a second bid for midfielder McDonald after Wolves rejected their first £1 million offer.

The Daily Mirror claims that a £1.25 million bid with add-ons will be made as Fulham look to build a squad to challenge for promotion.

Fulham made the eye-catching signing of Tom Cariney last week from Blackburn and McDonald would be his midfield partner, if the Cottagers can persuade their Championship rivals to sell.

Fulham determined to land £1.25m Wolves 'pass master'

Whites double their efforts to lure midfielder

Balancing act: Fulham's Cauley Woodrow (R) tries to stave off Kevin McDonald

Fulham are preparing for life after Scott Parker by making a second £1.25 million bid for Kevin McDonald at Wolves.

The Scot, dubbed the 'pass master' at Molineux is reportedly wanted as a midfield dynamo, the type of player who fills any breach left by 34-year-old Parker in the final year of his Whites contract.

McDonald was Wolves player of the year – both players' and supporters' - in their League One title-winning campaign in 2014.

By September last season, he had become the first player to clock up 500 passes in English football ahead of all but one other man had reached 400.

Target: Kevin McDonald (L)

The 26-year-old also featured prominently in two out of three wins against Whites last term, the last as the Old Gold comfortably eased home 3-0 in February.

Retained List

The Club is able to confirm the following player activity:

Stephen Arthurworrey has signed a one-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Fulham until the summer of 2016, and he will join Yeovil Town on loan for the duration of the upcoming campaign. The Club holds an option to recall the defender in January.

Jordan Evans, Liam Donnelly and Dean O'Halloran have all been offered new contracts with the Club.

In the younger age groups, Aron Davies has signed a three-year professional contact, Josh Walker a two-year pro contract, while Aaron Redford and Elijah Adebayo have signed one-year pro deals.

Anthony Dolan and Mattias Kait are also set to agree two-year professional contracts, and Tayo Edun and Luca de la Torre have been offered professional terms, too.

STEPHEN ARTHURWORREY RETURNS TO HUISH PARK

Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Stephen Arthurworrey on a season long-loan from Fulham.

The highly rated defender has penned a deal with the Glovers until the end of the season after signing a one-year contract extension with his parent club.

This will be Stephen's second loan stint in the green and white after spending the majority of last season at Huish Park.

During his spell last season the 6'5" defender made over 30 appearances including an impressive performance against Premier League

Manager Paul Sturrock said: "I am very pleased with the acquisition of Stephen. For a young player he was outstanding in the heart of the defence for us at the end of last season.

"He is going to be the stalwart of our defence this season. I am really looking forward to working with him and helping him to improve his game."

Jazz Richards poised to complete switch from Swansea to Fulham

HITC Sport understands that Wales international defender Jazz Richards has passed a medical at Fulham and will pen a four-year deal on Thursday.

HITC Sport understands from sources close to the potential deal that Jazz Richards has passed a medical at Fulham ahead of his proposed move from Swansea City and is poised to pen a long-term contract with the Championship club.

The 24-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Craven Cottage.

HITC Sport brought you the news three weeks ago that the Cottagers had seen an offer accepted for the Wales international defender.

That agreement is now close to completion, allowing Richards to form part of Kit Symons' ambitious project in west London.

The switch will take him away from home-town club Swansea on a permanent basis for the first time in his career.

Richards has previously spent time on loan at Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town, before linking up with Fulham for the second-half of the 2014/15 campaign.

He did enough during that spell to catch the eye and will now be hoping to kick on and help his new employers to push for a return to the Premier League.

Fulham eye Wolves midfielder as Scott Parker replacement

Fulham have lined up Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald to replace Scott Parker, according to Get West London.

It is thought that the London club will make a second bid of £1.25m for McDonald, who is seen by Kit Symons as the man to fill the role of veteran Scott Parker.

Parker, 34, has entered the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage, and his deal is not expected to be renewed.

The former England midfielder played a vital part in the Fulham team last season, however his influence was limited by a lack of fitness to feature week-in-week-out. Resigned to the need for him to move on, Symons has been quick to locate a replacement and this is in the form of Kevin McDonald.

The Wolves man is renowned for his passing ability. In September last season, he became the first player in English football to reach 500 passes.

McDonald was Wolves player of the year – both players' and supporters' – in their League One title-winning campaign in 2014 and at 26 years of age, he can become a mainstay of the Whites' midfielder for many years to come.

Wolves to reject Fulham's Kevin McDonald bid
Wolves are set to reject a £1.25m bid from Fulham for key midfielder Kevin McDonald.

Reports from London claim the Cottagers have made a second offer for the Scot, with boss Kit Symons a keen admirer.

But Wolves are expected to dismiss the bid out of hand with Kenny Jackett keen to make the 26-year-old a key figure in next season's Championship campaign.

McDonald, whose current contract expires next summer, has made 91 appearances for Wolves since moving from Sheffield United in 2013.

He was the club's only ever-present last season as Jackett's team missed out narrowly on the Championship play-offs.

DONE DEAL: Jazz signs for Fulham, ending Aston Villa & Norwich's hopes of signing Wales international

Fulham have completed the signing of Welsh international right-back Jazz Richards on a three-year deal, it has now been confirmed. The Swansea youth product, who started out life as a defensive midfielder and can still operate there, had spent time on loan at Fulham last season as well as enjoying prior loan spells at both Crystal Palace & Huddersfield Town.

There were reports that the deal, reportedly worth £500k, was set to stall but late on Tuesday night news broke that he would undergo a medical at Craven Cottage today ahead of his move, which has now been finalised for an undisclosed fee.

Jazz made fifty-one appearances for the Swans during his seven seasons as a pro in SA1, as well as earning four Wales caps to date, and the move to London is likely motivated by the need to play regular football if  he's to retain his place in Chris Coleman's national team.

Having done a sterling job in keeping Eden Hazard quiet in Wales' last outing – their momentous 1-0 win over Belgium – he clearly has the talent to succeed at a high level, and hopefully a move to new pastures is what he needs to show everyone how good he can be.

Jazz leaves the Liberty with no shortage of affection, and I'm sure all Swans fans will join us in wishing him well in this latest chapter of his career.

Jazz Joins Fulham

The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Jazz Richards from Swansea City on a deal until the summer of 2018, with an option to extend until 2019, for an undisclosed fee.

The defender – who can operate on either side – started 14 games for the Whites last season after joining on loan in January.

After returning to his parent club, Richards featured three times for the Swans in the Barclays Premier League, before helping Wales to a superb 1-0 victory over Group B rivals Belgium in qualifying for the European Championship.

The 24-year-old leaves the Liberty Stadium having made more than 50 appearances for the club, while he has also taken in successful loan spells at Crystal Palace – where he won promotion to the top flight – and Huddersfield Town.

Speaking at the Club's Motspur Park Training Ground this morning, Richards said: "When I was on loan here last season I settled in straight away with the lads and the staff, and I enjoyed the style of football that Kit Symons was trying to get the team playing. That made me want to come back.

"Kit's a good manager, a good coach, and what he's trying to get us to do will take the Club forward, and we've got the players to do so. And we've already made some good signings this summer.

"In some of the games last season we were unfortunate with the results, but with the crowd behind us this year supporting the lads I think we can go on and do big things."

Join Jazz and the boys next season at the Cottage, with Season Tickets on sale from £299 for adults and from just £47 for juniors.

Wolves to reject bid for midfielder

Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to reject a £1.25million bid from Fulham for Kevin McDonald.

Fulham are rebuilding this summer in a bid to challenge at the top end of the table for a return to the Premier League.

Wolves are also very much in the promotion picture after narrowly missing out on the play-offs last term.

It's somewhat of an audacious bid from Fulham to make a move for one of Wolves key players, if Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett were willing to allow McDonald to move, would he really sell him to one of our main promotion rivals?

Thankfully the Express & Star have reported that the bid will be dismissed 'out of hand' and that should end the matter.

Richards signs for Fulham
by DAN on JULY 2, 2015

Fulham have confirmed the permanent signing of Welsh international full-back Jazz Richards from Swansea City this morning.

The defender made fourteen appearances for the club during a loan spell at Craven Cottage towards the end of last season. Fulham successfully fought off interest from a number of Premier League clubs, as well as Championship rivals, to secure a deal for the 24 year-old. believed to be in the region of £500,000.

Richards, who was outstanding after being picked at right wing-back for Wales' 1-0 win over Belgium in Cardiff last month that continued their fine run in European Championship qualifying, was highly rated at the Liberty Stadium where made more than 50 appearances since joining Swansea as a schoolboy. He also won promotion from the Championship during a successful loan spell at Crystal Palace.

Speaking to Fulham's official website this morning, Richards said:

When I was on loan here last season I settled in straight away with the lads and the staff, and I enjoyed the style of football that Kit Symons was trying to get the team playing. That made me want to come back.
