@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

Interesting to know that they are sometimes doing 3 sessions a day and that they are off to Portugal this weekend!

Rupert

Interesting that we do actually train  064.gif
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

Tempest

Reading the article I think the throwing up thing is historic rather than now, he also says training is more controlled and structured. That's a relief! Otherwise we're training our players in an unhealthy way increasing risk of injury etc. But yes interesting.

ToodlesMcToot

I'm waiting for the article about gruelling set piece practices.

I hope Pringle is the answer to the long departed Bullard, although I suspect you mean defensive corners.

But if we can score 3/4 goals per game from corners we can afford
to let in 2/3 per game and still win (or draw)
VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

Corners and throw-ins are in week 24.

Woolly Mammoth

They need to be trained to know when the ball is upside down.

Apprentice to the Maestro

Lots of good corners at the Womens World Cup. Maybe we could get a Lioness to give a lesson or two.

Bronaldinho

Strong believer that they should be training heavily in pre-season, thats the whole point of it. Never understood the heavy criticism around Magath for enforcing it.

Only thing I can imagine is different, is that Symons will incorporate more Ball work.

Wasn't it somewhere that Magath made McCormack lose a stone in just over a month because of his training regimes. Impressive really.

well according to smith. No ball work as yet. And in this day and age, I'd be surprised if players let their fitness slip that much
