Spanish police have confirmed the much-loved star was found dead at her home.

I can confirm the death of British national Priscilla White, aged 72," police said.

The officer added: "We are still awaiting autopsy results but everything at this stage is pointing towards her death being the result of natural causes."

She made some great records - a much better singer than she was given credit for, but also lucky enough to have Lennon and McCartney write a song for her, and to be associated with the Beatles and Liverpool, and to record other great songs.

Then she went on to re-invent herself as a very successful, much loved family entertainer.
