Depends upon your requirements.  I go to the Bricklayer's Arms in Waterman Street for the beer (and my friends are there).

I believe that there is a FoF meetup at the  Rocket Wetherspoons, Putney High Street.  Details here

it might be a bit of a saw dust pub, but the atmosphere is good I'm the lion

Unless you have had all the necessary inoculations and antibiotics, may I suggest you avoid that establishment, not the most charming of welcomes either. You could try the London Dungeon as an alternative, failing that the Bucket of Blood is a hoot compared to the premises that were initially recommended.

I'll admit that the Golden Lion has atmosphere.  I wouldn't want to breathe it, however!

Bricklayers for beer, Golden Lion for atmosphere. The rest don't offer much.

like the railway myself good atmosphere,great range of ales ,but will be at the rocket also for the FOF meet up .
