DUNDEE UNITED FANS GET EXCITED ABOUT TAGGART CAPTURE

Sky Sports Scotland and the Daily Record are reporting that Fulham striker Adam Taggart is set for a season-long move to Dundee United and Terrors fans are getting excited.

The 22-year-old Australian international has seen his opportunities limited at Craven Cottage but a move north could get the best out of the talented hitman.

That's certainly seems to be the prevailing opinion when browsing Social Media with Dundee Evening Telegraph reporter Liam Kennedy publishing a profile of the player.

Stearman Signs

The Club is delighted to secure the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman on a three-year deal, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months, for an undisclosed fee.

Having progressed through the Leicester City academy, Stearman made his debut for the Foxes shortly after his 17th birthday in a goalless draw with Cardiff City in the Championship. He went on to play 130 times for the club, and scored 11 goals.

After winning both the fans' and Players' Player of the Season awards in 2007/08, Stearman joined Wolves for an undisclosed fee. He featured 40 times in his debut season at Molineux as they won the title, and he was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

He was a regular in the side as Wolves avoided relegation for two seasons running, but he was unable to prevent them slipping out of the top flight in 2011/12. In total, he appeared 77 times in the Premier League.

Stearman re-joined former Wolves manager Mick McCarthy on loan at Ipswich Town for the second half of the 2012/13 campaign, but returned to Molineux to help them secure the League One title the following season.

Last term he was a major factor in the club's successful first season back in the Championship, as the team secured a seventh place finish, and Stearman was again named both the fans' and Players' Player of the Year. The 28-year-old leaves Wolves having featured 234 times for the club.

Stearman completes Fulham move
by DAN on SEPTEMBER 1, 2015

Fulham have completed the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman for an undisclosed fee. The former Wolves skipper has signed a three-year deal at Craven Cottage – and Fulham have the option of extending his contract by a further year.

The 28 year-old, who won last season's player of the year award at Wolves, was a popular figure with the fans at Molineux and was one of Kit Symons' first targets earlier in the summer as he looked to plug the weaknesses at the heart of Fulham's defence. Stearman's omission from Saturday's side to face Charlton Athletic took many Wolves supporters by surprise – with manager Kenny Jackett confirming afterwards that the two clubs had agreed a fee for the former Leicester City defender. Stearman passed a medical at Motspur Park today and the deal is believed to be worth around £2m, with half payable immediately and another £1m dependent on clauses.

Stearman made his professional debut for Leicester just after his seventeenth birthday, helping the Foxes keep a clean sheet against Cardiff, and quickly established himself as a key member of City's defence. His accomplished displays saw him win back-to-back player of the season awards and he signed for Wolves in 2008, making 40 appearances as his new club won the Championship title in his first season. Stearman was named in the Championship PFA Team of the Year and remained a regular as Wolves suffered back-to-back relegations.

Stearman teamed with his old manager Mick McCarthy on loan at Ipswich, but returned to Wolves and helped them win promotion from League One as champions and followed that up with an excellent season as Wolves finished seventh in the Championship last season. He made 234 appearances for the club, scoring six goals. Symons will hope that Stearman's arrival will bolster a defence that struggled in the Championship last season – and he could well be paired with fellow new arrival, Tim Ream, when the Whites take on Blackburn Rovers after the international break.

Richard Stearman: Fulham sign Wolves defender

Fulham have signed centre-half Richard Stearman from Championship rivals Wolves for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old has signed a three-year contract with a club option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

Stearman, who was named Wolves' player of the season last term, made over 200 appearances for the club after signing from Leicester City in 2008.

Fulham are currently 14th in the Championship, with five points from their opening five fixtures.

UPDATE: Sheffield United's Dan Burn bid

Dan Burn in action against United last week in the Capital One Cup

13:01Tuesday 01 September 2015
Sheffield United have lodged a bid for Fulham defender Dan Burn, The Star understands.

Sources in London report Bramall Lane's hierarchy made an official approach for the 23-year-old earlier this morning, soon after Richard Stearman of Wolverhampton Wanderers opened talks about a move to Kit Symons' side.

Burn joined Fulham from Darlington in 2011 and his since represented both Yeovil Town and Birmingham City on loan. David Edgar completed a temporary transfer from St Andrews to United, where he is scheduled to spent the rest of the season, last month.

Burn, who is six foot seven inches tall, was a member of the Yeovil side team which gained promotion to the Championship via the play-offs in 2013.

UPDATE 13.46
Contrary to reports, Burn has not undergone a medical at United, who are also understood to be pursuing alternative options. Indeed, a scenario could arise whereby they attempt to strike a loan deal for Burn if permanent deals for other names on the manager's wanted list prove elusive.

Norwich striker Gary Hooper a deadline day target for Fulham

Fulham are in talks with Norwich over the potential season-long loan signing of striker Gary Hooper, according to Sky sources.

The Whites are keen to add another forward option before the window closes and Hooper is their first-choice target on deadline day.

Hooper has fallen down the pecking order at Carrow Road and has made just two substitute appearances so far this season, having signed for the club in a £5m deal from Celtic in 2013.

The 27-year-old has scored 20 goals for the Canaries and made 70 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Fulham, meanwhile, are also hoping to land another central defender before the deadline after confirming the signing of Richard Stearman from Wolves.

The Whites launched a bid for Nottingham Forest's Michael Mancienne last week, according to Sky sources, and enquired about Lyon defender Bakary Koke on Monday.

It is understood current defenders Nikolay Bodurov and Dan Burn are available for a loan and a permanent deal respectively, with several Championship clubs interested in Bodurov and Burn the subject of a bid from Sheffield United on deadline day.

Young Fulham striker Adam Taggart has also agreed to join Scottish club Dundee United on a season-long loan.

Hooper having Fulham medical ahead of loan move
by DAN on SEPTEMBER 1, 2015

Gary Hooper is having a medical at Fulham ahead of a proposed loan move from Norwich City, according to the Daily Mail.

The Canaries forward has slipped down the pecking order at Carrow Road during the summer and spent much of the close season being linked with a move away from the club. Both Sheffield Wednesday and former club Celtic were thought to be keen on capturing the 27 year-old striker, but Fulham have stolen a march on their competitors this afternoon having swiftly concluded talks with the Premier League side about the possibility of a season-long loan deal.

Hooper, restricted to just two substitute appearances for Norwich this season, has scored 20 goals in 70 games for the Canaries since signing from Celtic in a £5m deal back in June 2013. Fulham manager Kit Symons is keen to bolster his striking options as he reshapes his squad following a shaky start to the new campaign – and Hooper's of scoring goals at this level, for both Scunthorpe and Norwich, makes him a perfect potential foil for Ross McCormack, who signed a new contract at Craven Cottage earlier this month.

Gary Hooper having a medical at Fulham ahead of loan move from Norwich
Gary Hooper saw a move to Sheffield Wednesday collapse at the weekend
Hooper scored 20 goals in 69 appearances at Norwich City

Gary Hooper is having a medical at Fulham ahead of a season-long loan deal at the Championship club.

The 27-year-old saw a move to Sheffield Wednesday fall through at the weekend but Kit Symons is keen to team him up with Ross McCormack and spearhead Fulham's promotion push.

Hooper joined Norwich for £5million in 2013 but has failed to rekindle the form that made him a firm favourite at Celtic. He has managed 20 goals in 69 appearances overall for the Carrow Road club.

Gary Hooper is having a medical at Fulham ahead of a loan move to Craven Cottage

Hooper has fallen down the pecking order at Norwich after Alex Neil signed Dieumerci Mbokani on loan from Dynamo Kiev on Monday.

Forwards Hugo Rodallega and Bryan Ruiz left Fulham this summer and Adam Taggart joined Dundee United on loan on Tuesday.

Manager Kit Symons has McCormack, Cauley Woodrow, Moussa Dembele and injured Matt Smith as his striking options.

Symons will hope that Hooper's signing will boost Fulham's chances of being in the promotion mix at the end of the season.

Burn set to stay at Fulham
by DAN on SEPTEMBER 1, 2015

Dan Burn is poised to remain with Fulham beyond the transfer window, after the Whites abandoned plans to bring in another centre back following the successful acquisitions of Tim Ream and Richard Stearman in recent days.

Sky Sports understands that Kit Symons' decision to end his chase for defensive reinforcements effectively dooms Sheffield United's determined pursuit of Burn, which had been hotly tipped to finish successfully overnight. The Blades had an initial bid rejected by Fulham, who felt the offer fell well below their valuation of the 6ft 7in defender, and were preparing to return with a second offer.

The 22 year-old, who has been in and out of the Fulham starting line-up during the early weeks of the season, will remain at Craven Cottage and must try and force his way back into Symons' long-term plans.
