Seems the only way they can ship the away shirt is by offering them along with a players squiggle on an item from the store.

i don't mind it to be honest, i did realise last night as my son played fifa 15 that it is basically the Swansea away kit from last seaosn

I like it but they always sell the shirts at a ridiculous discount after christmas, so I will just hold off until then.

we have had green and yellow previously haven't we? although I think Green (or is it blue?) has some historical link with the club

I wasn't disagreeing, i was just saying i think we have had both colours before, personally for me I like a red away kit with black and a white home kit with black, but if it is too placate a sponsor then so be it. Sponsorship money is required these days.

But as I say, be it right or wrong, we have had both yellow and Green previously (cant go with this Amber stuff like I couldn't with the infra red last year)

This away shirt colours has nothing connecting with Fulham FC, where did Amber come from, the away kit should consist of either Red or Black or both, nothing else.

We've had Amber/gold kits before. In recent memory, I think the 11/12 third kit was a pretty gruesome gold colour and the year after that it had a gold stripe.
Not a colour I'd choose personally, but we have used it before.

we had a green and gold kit one, we had the yellow Johnny Haynes one, we have also had them before that as well ,

Green happens to be the colour of the grass that football is played on, that's the only link. My question is, historically what has the colour Amber got to do with Fulham FC and it's heritage. Changing colours of away kits each year to sell Shirts is like selling your soul to the devil.

How do you know it is like selling your soul to the devil? Have you made that transaction too, oh woolly tusked one? I hope you held out for a decent price, a couple of shillings at least, or was it a thirteen year stay in the Premiership?

On the eve of the Battle of Dunbar, 3rd September 1650, a rumour spread that the English army commander, Oliver Cromwell, had been in a meeting with the devil, and had sold his soul in exchange for victory over the Covenanter Scots and supreme rule of England. This rumour, spread by his own men rather than his Royalist enemies (who did leap on it with glee) added that Cromwell was upset as he was only given seven years to rule, rather than the ten he wanted.
Next day the Scots were defeated, Cromwell triumphed and exactly a year later, September 3rd 1651, he defeated Charles II and his Scots army at Worcester, bringing the English Civil Wars to an end.
On 3rd September 1658, a huge storm hit England and Oliver Cromwell died.

Food for thought, Woolly?  092.gif

Always good to read about the English crushing the Scots to pulp on their own patch in those battles you mention. I was also at the battle of Culloden on the 16th April 1746, when the English sent the old enemy running to the hills, we really gave them a good hiding on that day, a good away win and an easy three points.
As for food for thought. I am happy with my diet of foliage that Burt our in house expert and student of rotund individuals prescribed to me to keep me healthy and hairy.
Unlike Septic Blatter, I have never sold my soul to the devil, but I once sold sand to an Arab, and Ice Cream to an Eskimo.
In my prime, I managed to sell a Life Belt to a drowning man, I got top price for that one, mind you he was not in a position to bargain at that moment, as time was not on his side, although on reflection I should not have pushed him off the Stern of the Ship in the first place.
That was probably the worst decision since Abraham Lincoln said to his wife " I am fed up kicking around the house, let's go take in a show ".
As for Oliver Cromwell, they named a Night Club and Casino called Cromwells after him down the Cromwell Road, also named after him, just opposite the history museum. I use to go there regularly in the Seventies, it was a happy hunting ground for me, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, on that note I am off down the pub with my colleagues and associates, to drink to swimming with bow legged women.
Thank you and Goodnight.

No, no, no, this simply won't do, Woolly old chap. Spreading historical inaccuracies.
Culloden was a mostly Scottish Royal army against a mostly Scottish rebel army. There were English on both sides too. The main split was highlander against lowlander, but even that was not a complete split, some clans throwing their lot in with German king George rather than Italian Prince Charlie.

I'm not a fan of the shirt and can see why it's not selling.  Still don't think it's the worst shirt ever though.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

I still love the green and gold one. Reminds me of Bairdinho's heroics up at Stoke.

.

But Rupert I was there that day, the battle took place East of Inverness, and we put the Clans to the sword, they never recovered. They lost around 1500 to 2000 men killed or wounded on the field of battle, whereas we lost exactly 50 men killed and 259 wounded. It was a ferocious and bloody battle.

I agree it's not the worst shirt ever, the worst shirt ever, is any of the shirts Noël Edmunds wears on that bizarre show he compares in the afternoons, where contestants choose boxes with prize money, no education needed, the name of the show escapes my memory, but the sight of his shirts forces me to reach for my sun glasses radiation suit and Cognac all at the same time.

Perhaps the same people who helped him helped FFC with this kit.   :023:

Away shirt sales are probably not helped by the fact that the home shirt is home shirt is by far the best one we have had in years. If this seasons away shirt was going up against last seasons horror of a home shirt it probably would have done a lot better.

It's not the worst recent away kit by far. For me that title goes to that awful Bolton looking kit we had a few seasons back in the Prem. The purple with orange ..er.. shapes on the sleeves.

Yes, yes, I have been to the battlefield, and play a role in the film (made in 2008) they show at the museum. I am the man who starts the highland charge (in the film), as it happens. The director shouted "Action", I started to run, forgetting that he was going to shout "Claymore" for us to charge, he then shouted "Claymore" and everyone else surged forward after me. Much to my surprise, that is the clip they used, and it does work well, one man breaking ranks and the rest then following.

Sadly, I get shot in the back at the end, while heroically running away.

Some of the government losses were from friendly fire as the second rank fired indiscriminately into the front rank melee.

Anyway, none of this takes away from the fact that it was not Scot against Sassenach, however much the SNP wish it was, but largely Scot against Scot.

I actually really like it. But as usual I'll wait for when they give it away for a tenner.
