For everyone who has decided to get themselves into a panic about this whole "head coach" terminology, I would recommend you have a read of this article. It shows how having a joined up approach throughout the whole club makes sense and works well in the modern environment.

In any case, there is no such thing as an all powerful "Manager" at the top of a club anymore (with 1 or 2 exceptions, e.g. Wenger). So undertaking this model for us is at least doing it properly with clear definitions and responsibilities, rather than half measures and uncertainty.
