To add to that, his final ball was much better today. One of my criticisms of him this season has been "he has pace, but what else?" I was impressed with how when he got down the line, his delivery was more consistently good though there was still a couple going into the stands.

Having three at the back means that the wing backs are not constantly stretched. It allows freedom and time to get forward and use the pace knowing that there is no panic if they lose the ball.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

he must start ahead of Richards. Always and forever.

That is inevitable. The best full back at the Club during my lifetime, by some way, has been George Cohen who quite often marauded down the line but we knew that when he crossed after running at speed there was a better than even chance that the ball would go behind the goal. Very little margin for error when crossing at speed - pretty much the same problem that really big drivers like Tiger Woods face at golf - a fractional miss hit and the ball goes well off the intended course.

But speed is such a valuable quality in today's game and provided he is adequate in defence Fredericks has to be a better better than Richards.

He's miles better than Richards. He put some foot crosses in yesterday. A couple went into the crowd but crossing is never perfect. He plays with passion. 352 really suits Garbutt and Fredericks.

Thought the team was well up for it today, chasing every ball, hounding their players when we didn't have it. There was a moment in the first half when one of their players was around our area & about to shoot & 2 of ours (think one was Parker), threw themselves at the ball & blocked the shot, injuring themselves in the process.
That sort of effort makes a big difference.

This is good news.

He wasn't far off my MOTM just behind Cairney. Great performance.

Wimbledon_White

His crossing really wasn't any better than any other performance. His defending is non-existent and he is easily worked out by a decent defender. Not sure he is any better than Jazz, whose final ball is much much better.

Fred only made one error the whole game. This was him going into no mans land at the corner from which they scored. If we continue to play the 3-5-2 he must start over Richards.

He must start ahead of Richards no matter what formation we use
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

I can name two absolutely first-class low crosses in the first half. One Dembele could have thrown himself at and the second from a break and no-one was attacking the far post - think Cairney got into the box but went near post instead.

So right about that joint block when both players threw them themselves to block the ball - put the icing on the cake on a great day.

Not only were FFC the better team - our team obviously wanted it more. The other 'golden moment' was when Scotty Parrker jockeyed then successfully blocked a QPR free kick in the second half when eventually we were put under a spell of pressure, then one of their players spent a view minutes arguing with the ref about Parker.

Well done Scotty Parker, not only looked class on the pitch but led by example.

We are all agreeing that he must start ahead of Richards but we have not had a chance to see Richards in a 352 in this team. Not saying Richards is better but who knows, perhaps it will turn out we they are both good options?
