just to predictable......surely Woodrow should of come on earlier (ok I know he is just back from injury) as he defends and chases everything up top....but apart from that our general play is to predictable

That's another thing i can worry about....i thought he looked a little rusty yesterday, but put it down to lack of play

What amazes me more is not bringing Matt on for
Dembele. .Just try something different.
If it doesn't come off it doesn't that's life.

it's simply that he doesn't rate him. Just as we all like and dislike players,  all managers are the same. Some would not have say Burn anywhere near team but he does. Some would not have Smith nowhere near team and that's how he feels. Will always be like that.

Hmm - sat in H2 yesterday and Smith was on the touch line ready to come on only to be told to go sit down. He tore his shirt off and I can image, was understandably peeved. I think yesterday's game needed someone like Smith...least he gives 100% unlike Dembele.

Sorry MJG then the question has to be asked again, why put him on the bench. In the second half we could hardly get the ball out of our own half, any long ball up to Dembele was coming straight back. Smith would have provided a possible outlet, he should have been on the field in place of Dembele for the last half hour.

Didn't he score a reasonable amount for Leeds in this league.....and he scored a shed load for Bristol in League 1.....i dont think his scoring ability is the problem - i think the coach/manager just does not fancy him

depends on what you class as decent. Lower leagues he has always been prolific. Not so much in the championship. And what he did for leeds is irrelevant, one goal in seventeen is the only stat I'm concerned with.

I don't see how Smith can be judged this season. 6 or 7 minutes in desperation at the end of matches hardly gives grounds for judgement. Bearing in mind that we don't have anybody who can cross a ball he is only ever going to be feeding off scraps. Dembele was awful yesterday and it must have been worth a go at putting Smith on for the last 20 minutes.
