According to FoF Thursday stuff, several clubs want
him,but we are refusing to let him go.
Can't understand it,Jacko don't rate him and keeps him
on bench.
Let the lad go and play football..
And what if we loaned him to a rival? Would you be happy with that?
If we do move on then L1/L2 should be the only place we allow him.

I want him to be used more by us,of course I want
him to stay here.
Don't know why your too worried about my comment
as you don't rate him at all,so why does it bother you
if he goes somewhere if you think he isn't that good.

I don't want him to go to a championship club because I just know the negativity that would raise from the moment it happened. Im fine with him going to other leagues and if it allows us to bring one in then fine.

Mince n Tatties

Wolves are Mid Table MJG, so they not in a dog fight with us.
know what your saying about the negativity, but think
we need to be fair to the lad.
And I shouldn't think he want to go to league 1,he want
to play in this league

So it is beginning to look like the rest of the season for Smith will amount to nine more games of bench warming at the best.

If we are relegated  one of the major questions facing management will be why was better use not made of Smith.

Isn't our issue letting goals in? Scoring is not a problem.
And defensively how would he have stopped say the two goals on Saturday?

GrahamG

Of course the main issue is conceding goals but last week against Bristol City we were crying out for somebody to compete and win the ball up front. Whether Smith could have done that (I think he could) is open to debate but what shouldn't be in dispute is that we had virtually no concerted attack in the 2nd half. The pattern of play cried out for change because it must have been obvious to every Fulham fan present that we couldn't allow Bristol to continue to dominate because they would inevitably score. Defend from the front.

Forever Fulham

I can think of at least five players I'd let go before Smith!  I don't get it.

He would also be extremely useful defending corners and free kicks, something we are crying out for!

Drop McCormack

Play 4-5-1 with Woodrow up front - let him do the pressing

Bring on RM and Smith when needed

Drop our leading goalscorer for an important game, I am sure lots of Birmingham fans would like to see it but i think not.

Either that or he's been at the Liquorice Allsorts again.

Drop Lonergan as goalie and move him to an extra central defensive midfield position.
Push Birmingham so far back they won't get near our goal to score.
Nominate one outfield player who's allowed to handle the ball inside our box, possibly Lonergan

Problem solved

VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

Excellent tactics all round - no more stupid than SJ 's present managerial skills

One of the best wind-ups in ages

Our worry is stopping goals, but as every successful team now knows-and shows- defending starts at the top of the pitch. Our forwards defend zilch, the pressing is poor and the midfield is a free zone for most opponents.our shape is terrible, and our level of coaching is woeful. We still can't defend a corner.

Just look at how good Pringle looks every game now he has gone from the Cottage.Better coaching, better players-it's basic.

Start by getting rid of Rigg, not Matt.

MJG

All this defending from the front,  anyone expecting Smith to be closing down defenders all game is in for a shock. He gets knackered after one ten yard sprint.
