and forgive me if this has already been discussed ...

... In the history of English football, has there ever been a father and son who have each won league championships as players in the top flight? Or will the Schmeichels be the first?

Ian Wright is actually Shaun Wright-Phillips' adopted father, I don't think that quite counts.

I'm sure it's happened in top flight history; in Premier League? Unless you count Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips, this would be the first time.

They got lucky yesterday against Saints.
I noticed at the end they were leg weary,I do hope
they're not going to run out of steam when they are
so close to the title..Keep going Foxes..

And Leicester goalie made great saves, and Saints
should have had at least one handball penalty.
If that Huth one was against us we'd be screaming
blue murder.
But glad they didn't get it as I want Leicester to win it.

John Aston senior won the League Championship with Manchester United in 1951-52 and his son John junior did similar with the same club in 1966-67. John Aston junior was also a member of the United side that won the European Cup the following year.

All done of course before football was invented by SKY so perhaps some might not count it. But I do.

Jose Mourinho won it as a manager and in 5 years or so Jose Mourinho Junior will win it as a player for Fulham

thank you FFD. I should have known that, as Junior was a Hatter back in my day and, like me, was a left winger.
