Same again. This excludes anyone who returned for a 2nd spell in their 30s like Baird for example. I'll have a go at this one although I wasn't born to see a couple of them and most of them are pure guesswork.

VDS
Grygera
Heitinga
Moore
Bonnissel
Duff
John Collins
Diarra
Best/Goldbaek
McBride
Montella

Could be way off but how old was Alain Goma?

Good shout. I'd imagine it is close but maybe he just looked older than he was. What about Heitinga? Probably similar

Kiraly?

Good call, although I think that Dutch chap we got in 2001 a month before his 31st birthday was a touch better.

HillingdonFFC

Clive Walker tore York to shreds on his debut, he was different class to anyone in that league when in the mood. Doug Rougvie , gutted when he left

filham

Going back a long way but Roy Bentley an England striker who we converted into a top class centre half has to be on the list.

I assumed VDS was 29. If he was 30 then he was better than Schwarz imo. What about Duff???

Karagounis a good shout.  I loved to watch both Duff and Goldbeak too, in fact it got me thinking that we may have taken a few decent older layers from Chelsea over the years.

Just looked up Goma and depending on when he made his debut he was either 29 or 30. But it looks more likely he was 29.

Both must be close but with Petric,  I liked him but he was no McBride or Montella

If Kiraly can make it then I want Kuqi instead of McBride 094.gif

Also hangeland was a staple for the last few seasons in the EPL.
