Can anyone advise as to why we played in our home kit at Ipswich ? Or was it still in the wash after Friday ?

No colour clash with their blue.
Thats the way it should be,play in the clubs
colours.
Too many clubs just change for the sake of it.

Why wouldn't we?

White shirt vs. Blue shirt.
Black shorts vs. White shorts.
White socks vs. Blue socks.

There's no clashing whatsoever.

In the good old days we always played in black and white both home and away unless of course there was a colour clash and then the away teamed changed .
Of course now a days an away or second strip is used to promote the sales of 2nd strip shirts . Purely commercial motivation I think.

The only reason I can think that we played in black and Whit on Tuesday is to avoid anything that may remind the players and fans of the Drubbing we took  the previous Friday night.

We played in the horrendous yellow and black kit on Friday. Probably could have played in the home kit actually.
I was talking to a Reading fan in his 'African Violet' away shirt after the game at the Cottage and he said they were contractually required to alternate their away kits because they had different shirt sponsors. I agree with other posters that we should play in our home kit as much as possible. My preference for an away shirt is red and black stripes.
