Come on Fulham! Get one over the line today and one tomorrow. The fog of impending doom seems like it might be lifting. Help it along please.

Wolves are set to sign Benfica's Anderson Talisca in an astonishing £20m move following club takeover. (Daily Mail)

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

So Ross goes with his goals, and we get an unknown in to
replace him.
We will have to wait and see, has worked before, lets hope so
again.

Forward called Steve? From French league? Big money? Initials SM?

What could possibly go wrong?

Montpellier chairman Laurent Nicollin confirms contact with Fulham but denies that a deal is struck between the clubs, claiming Fulham's bid to be way too low:

"If there was an offer not refusable, it looks like" yes ", but it is not. It is very far."  And adds: "We received an offer from Fulham but far short of the 6 million promised by the player's agent and I find it ridiculous that I think we ride and, for me, Mounié. will stay."

Not as good as someone you know will get you 20+ goals.

This sounds like Fulham. There is no way we will be spending 6m on a player. More likely we offered 2m which is probably more like his true value. Ligue 2 can't be as tough as the Championship and this kid has only scored 11 professional goals, sounds like the agent is all over trying to make this happen so he can get paid.
First game: Fulham 4 Burnley 0, December 12th 1998.

Their chairman sounds a lot like a man trying to milk every last cent from this transfer.

I'm just waiting for the true Fulhamish hammer to drop. "Newcastle and another unknown continental club with bigger wallets also monitoring the Mounie situation closely." There has to be more cold water to pour onto this thing than just the chairman moaning about money.

No idea how good the French league 2 is, championship/league 1 level? Either way, a player that hasn't even played a full seasons number of pro games can't be worth £6m up front

Riversider

Roberts was young and unproven when he left us and yet we wanted and expected more than £6 million for him.

You forget he was English so that's another £5-10m to any price tag!

But it's big money for a player that has only played 1 season in Ligue 2 (Which is probably lower than Championship) and 11 goals from 32 games aint the greatest return.

Majorly unproven and a big risk.

KERALA LAND HUGHES

Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters, co-owned by Sachin Tendulkar, have announced the signing of former Newcastle and Fulham defender Aaron Hughes.

The 36-year old started three of Northern Ireland's games at Euro 2016 and turned down an offer from Oldham to join Steve Coppell's side.

L'Equipe reporting that Montpelier are interested in Giovanni Sio from Rennes in preference to starting Mounie.
Nothing reported on Mounie's departure.
