The only new thing in the article is that Joka has told pals he will quit if he doesn't get his players. But if true nobody has behaved very well over this. Sympathy for the manager but I am not happy that this wasn't sorted out in house.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I can see your point about keeping it in house, but maybe Slavisa felt that the only way he was going to be able to change things was to make the disagreement public, thereby gaining the supporters' backing. Hopefully he really doesn't want to leave, so his reasoning is that this will force the management's hand.  It's certainly worked as far as getting our backing, whether it forces management's hand is another matter.

For the record, here's Jim Woodcock's reply to my email:

Maggie, a thousand thanks for your email.  Sorry for the late reply.  Briefly, I just want to say that Mr. Khan was relentless in his recruitment of Slav to FFC. At the time, there was a lot of angst (understandably) that we didn?t straight away have Kit replaced full-time, but that is because Mr. Khan didn?t want to settle for who was available.  He went after the best manager out there, in Slav, who was still working at Maccabi Tel Aviv.  So it took work to get him here, and we?re happy he?s here and expressing his ambition.  That?s a welcome change at FFC.

Mr. Khan is committed to FFC and to Slav, and Slav knows he has full support from the chairman to make the most of this transfer window.

I appreciate hearing from you and ask you to stay in touch.  We need to hear from our supporters, in good times and in bad.  These are actually good times ? and we?re committed to better times ahead.  Thanks, Maggie!

As hinted this morning by MJG see below.

"2 to 3 in this week, and even possibly the one SJ said had been vetoed.
So I have been told today."

Deal reached for Neeskens Kebano. 4,5m euro + another million if we get promoted.

I saw him play a couple of times whe I lived in Belgium decent player, just spoke to a colleague i used to work with over there he says Great at Charlroi, didnt do a lot at Genk. had some injury issues but played when fit, was also voted besr african player in the league when at Charleroi. Colleague says could be a good signing if 100% fit

ANother downside will be if selected for his country we could lose him for the African Cup of Nations, which for me is always held at a rather silly time

Wasn't there talk of moving it so it isn't so disruptive? I can't remember when I heard this though.
