Ragnar Sigurdsson is quite a coup for us. One of the best defenders from the Euro, in the prime years for a centre-back.

That's a shopping list for a lower half to mid table Premier League side. Seems like we're really stepping up our game!

Sigurdsson would be quite a coup for us, and is not the backup/competition centre half I expected (Bassong, Duffy etc). He'll be a nailed on starter if he joins. Which begs the question: Will Kalas be moved to RB and Odoi to LB?

Haha fair point. I meant it more in the sense that if other business is dealt with it makes things easier for everyone involved to focus on one area or position.

If it's not genuine then someone has gone to a lot of trouble to fake it. Although the shadow of his face does seem to stop at the shirt collar.

I think the Sigurdsson signing highlights that we shouldn't necessarily get wound up about there not being specific transfer rumours, as this one has literally come out of nowhere and he's a top quality player, so I think we should have a little faith in the club.
