This comment was posted on the Sheff United board 'Blades talk' in response to a rumour they were about to sign Ben Pringle.

'Always rated pringle, but can't see this one happening. As far as I can tell he's still got a year on his Fulham deal so a fee would be required and Fulham have a reputation for being extremely "generous" with wages so perhaps another player who's wages wouldn't fit with the new wage structure that George Long fell foul to'.

Sad but true I'm afraid.

Please do enlighten me on how you know that to be true? Apart from that one message there of course

Fair assumption as he was on a free or low fee deal. He's a real 6/10 player - could squad fill, but we need better.
