Mr Kline has confirmed that statistically he is a striker, and that his first name is Chris and not Martin

Martin has scored 0.43 goals per game for Derby.  that's the exact same rate that Ross popped the pumpkin in the onion sack for Fulham.  5 million pounds seems like a bargain vs. the 12 million or so we got for Ross.  also, Martin is 2 or 3 years younger.

if the idea is to score more goals than your opponent, what box doesn't he check?!?

Nice chap!! Always remembered this story for some reason! Think it's brilliant

Rumours say wolves had a 6.5 bid rejected, the only thing I would say working against him is that his figures have weakened year on year, his first year when Derby lost that play off final he got 25, then 18 and 15 loosely I think since

So he was 'around' when a fight happened, he was not arrested or charged, still got barred from one pub and they put him on a PubWatch list so he was barred from every pub in 4 towns (68 bars).
Not exactly damning evidence is it? Oh and it was 8 years ago!!
Don't think this should have any effect on him joining FFC.

Haha! Youthful indiscretion.
68 seems a pretty good number. Put me in mind of the extraordinary Robin Friday. I know he was banned, at one time or another, from most of the pubs and clubs in Reading including the one opposite Elm Park, but I don't think any record exists of highest numbers.

My favourite Robin Friday story is of his transfer to Cardiff (obviously no medicals in those days!). The Cardiff manager went to meet him off the train, but had to bail him out from Police custody because his new star striker had travelled from Paddington to Cardiff on a platform ticket.
Friday's debut was on New Years Day for which he prepared by an all-night boozing session. He then went out to Ninian park and destroyed the opposition with two goals. Fulham, of course, were the oppo.
