Tuesday...
QPR 0 Newcastle 6
Wolverhampton 0 Barnsley 4

Today Newcastle 0 Wolverhampton 2.

Crazy league where results dont go as you expect.
We are moaning about a point away, but in reality I think most
would be happy where we are in league at moment.
What are the fans of Derby, Villa and Wednesday thinking, all were expected
to challenge and all are struggling at wrong end of table.

Wasn't at the game but from what I have read and heard it was a dire affair. From what I have see we are poor up front with no real goal threat.

Hopefully will be better on Wednesday.

I'm happy where we are at the moment, but it's a short term scenario I think.  While the Newcastle - Wolves result is a bit of a head scratcher we have been pretty consistent.

Relegation isn't going to come into the equation this year but neither is promotion.  We look very much like we're on course for a solid mid-table finish, and that's fine by me.  If you flipped the Newcastle result we'd be right bang in mid table at the moment and  that feels about right for us.  We've managed to take point(s) off teams  in 19th, 15th, 24th, 23rd, 17th and 22nd positions.  Apart from Newcastle we've only played one team in the top half and we lost to them (Birmingham).

We seem to be capable of holding onto the ball well enough that we're unlikely to be on the end of any 5-0 hammerings this season but we have no output either.  I think we'll have lots of draws, lots of 1-0 wins to crap opposition and lots of 1-0 losses to the teams who will have one eye on the Premier League next season.

If we're all happy with mid-table then that's pretty depressing - one person who wont be around will be SJ he has the usual top 6 target or it's goodnight from him

RaySmith

Yes, Slav must have a top six target to hit be Christmas, as Kit did.

Accepting mid -table is hard to take now, since we've struggled  since  dropping out the  Prem. Is this our  new lot in life - mid-table in the Championship?

Well, I suppose fans of a lot of clubs would be glad of this, but it's had to take after  13 years in the Prem.

Plus, if you accept  mid-table, then you could find out  you get relegated.

Well done for the away point today lads - it sounded as if we could have lost.

Nobody is excepting mid table, but things are better than some of
us expected at start.
