Haven given up my s/t after more than twenty years of having one, I attended my first game of the season last night and my thoughts in the second half were that nothing had changed since I went to my first game at the Cottage fifty years ago. As always, the other side wanted it more and we just weren't up for it. Apart from perhaps half a dozen golden seasons that's the way it's always been. The sad thing is I wasn't surprised or depressed by the defeat, I just didn't care really.

Some very true words here. I recall home games against the likes of Cardiff, Sheffield United, Bolton etc...usually ending in a 1-0 defeat.  At least we were entertained by a certain J. Haynes. 049:gif

Mince n Tatties

Maybe thats why weve never won a Major Trophy.
We dont want it enough, thats why I cant  understand people on here
saying they are not too worried about going out.
Well I want to win a Cup E F L Cup or FA Cup, lets have a day
out at Wembley..Lets put a bit of Silverware in the Cabinet before were
all gone...Coyw.

Absolutely first class Mince, you said it how it is. Some have no ambition at all except to stay in their own comfort zone. Afraid of stepping out of the front door after dark. Well fortune favours the brave, someone told me that the meek shall inherit the earth, and the pen is mightier than the sword.
Well there all wrong, because you cannot write with a broken arm.
There are not enough winners around, too many easily satisfied with being served with mediocrity.
Maybe that's why the Acadamy players who do make the grade, decide to move on, cause they feel they are not going to win a coconut let alone a medal with Fulham FC.
