Watched the Hammers on TV this pm - what an awful pitch environment!  Miles from the players?  Anyone remember the old White City?  Recall that was much the same but always with fog over it?  Anyway.

What a good side Southampton are.  Thoughts?

And are Bournemouth the present day Fulham?  Getting there: very pleasing on the eye:  really great support etc.

Someone has it right at Southampton. They keep selling all their best players to top 6 teams and still perform. They even lost 2 good managers. Wish we knew how they do it.

I think we have traded places with Southampton compared to 10 yrs ago.I suppose it happens nowadays in football but with Southampton they seem to have continued investment in the youth and first team from the owners. Al Fayed didnt seem that bothered with Fulham towards the end of his ownership and investment dried up somewhat.We will get back there but it will not be overnight.It never is.
