Our problems are in midfield

In midfield we need a player with the skill of Bullard. I don't know where we can find one but we do need someone who can carry the ball, pass it to a Fulham player and be available to receive the return pass and score or set up a scoring chance for a team mate.

We also need a skillful holding player, who can win the ball and set up our attacks.

Tall order I know but we do need these type of players.

I agree with you.Problem is that we cannot get anybody until Jan unless a free agent is available and even then its a tall order as the right player needs to be available and also the stats wally has to give the thumbs up.Im sure alot of our current situation is due to the fact that some of Jokas targets were overlooked.Judging by our stats in the last four games we are crying out for a creative midfielder as you have mentioned and even more so a striker who knows where the net is.

Danny Murphy pulling the strings, Steed and Boa out wide causing all sorts of problems for opponents....happy days. Can't be difficult to find those type of players. Danny and Boa were not setting things alight until they came to the cottage. Lets hope.

FFCFOREVER

Do you remember the wardrobe. He was a midfield general.Remember the goal he scored against Man U at the cottage in the 88th minute to nick a draw.Ahh the good old days. What happened to them?

Jimmy Bullard had a couple of good games, scored a couple of good goals. But frankly there were other games when he wasn't that great at all. And then he put a gun to  Fulham's head .. give me a new three year contract or I won't play in the last year of my contract. He lost all my respect. We don't need another Jimmy Bullard.

We need 2 midfield players - A Steed Malbranque type who will run directly at defences (I think LVC could well be that player) and a new Sean Davis, a true box to box prepared to do the 'ugly' things needed in a game, breaking up play, getting a foot in, a get and give players.

With all the ins and outs this season we are still lacking CM'ers who can do the hard graft when we don't have the ball and use it quickly and effectively when we have it.
MacDonlads OK
Johanson looks lightweight
Parker lacks the legs
Tunnicllife is supposed to be not disciplined enough
LVC doesn't  get a look in

Time to go back to basics.
Personally I would try Macdonald and Tunnicliffe with LVC on the right and Malone on the left while Ayite is injured.
This would give us a physical presence at least and players who can defend as well as go forward.

We improved as a team immensely once he was shipped out. Nice player to watch, but at the cost of performance from everyone around him.

LASSE VIGEN CHRISTENSEN!!!

Except this time actually play him in the middle, rather than out wide where he's being wasted.
@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

The probelm for me is our wideplayers do not stay wide as they did at te start of the season, we are again to narrow so not getting good balls into the box unless Sessegnon (or Malone) / Odoi overlap. That then leaves us open to a counter as we have our full backs to high up the pitch

We need another Danny Murphy
While I agree with this I also think that some of our attacking midfield are not that bad except at shooting and do some very nice play. However, our defensive midfield are prone to giving the ball away with some sloppy passing leaving us exposed to a quick break.

Can't agree with this as while Jimmy Bullard was probably our best dead ball specialist, remember that one at Portsmouth to Danny Murphy or the free kick he scored at Blackburn, he was prone to dropping deep and literally taking the ball off our players toes.

We have not been the same since Cairney has had to play out wide
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Cairney has always played wide, he just drifts inside. He certainly never played number 10 when Ross and Moussa were with us
