Return to thread after submission

I have noticed that during the Cut N Paste excercise, that after posting the reply, the page refreshes back to the General Discussion, rather than displaying the just-posted-on thread.

Is this by design? I ask simply because I often double-check my post after submission - or look for any new posts on a live discussion, and this requires me to select the thread again.

This occurred on both Vista with Firefox 3.5 and also XP with IE8

Note: I should be able to test on Windows 7 by next week - I am just firing up a box with it on.
