"You know what you should do" is usually a preamble to four or five minutes of, what you've already tried or some other useless rubbish from a plonker who knows even less about the subject than you.

Irritating expressions:

"Like" all the time
"Should of", when they mean should have (you wouldn't say "I of done that")
"Can I get...?" when they mean may I have...? (no, I'll get it but you may have one)
If, when they mean whether.
Less when they mean fewer.
Media when they mean medium (singular)
So many incorrect plurals, e.g. "stadiums" (stadia), "referendums" (referenda),etc. etc.
"ect" when they mean etc. (et cetera : and the rest).

When I hear the expression "Touch Base", I transform from Dr Jekyll into Mr Hyde.
Well Mr WM would any of us actually notice this transformation when it takes place?

Sadly she wasn't

Sorry Mince, only doing my bit for The Queen and the English language.

Forever Fulham

If I don't hear "paradigm shift" again, I'll die a happy man.  Or the overuse of "awesome" as a catch-all expression for being moved or impressed by something.  Or any number of business-speak expressions such "the take"; "the get"; "trial it"; "run it up the flag pole"; "socialize/socialise it"; "post-mortem".  The always incorrect "irregardless."   Or "die a happy man."  Hey, wait a minute.  I'm a walking, talking, bag of cliches.  We all are.  Might as well embrace.

The spelling Police on here like to jump all over your and you're, or to and too!
But my problem, now I live up north (!) are couriers who ask me to sign for "These two parcels" when they clearly mean "Those" two parcels! Grrr.

'These ones'. Where did these ones come from? What these ones?

No it doesn't need ones. Just these

What annoys me is people who use "literally" in literally every sentence, when they often mean the complete opposite.

It literally drives me up the wall!

"Underway" when they mean under way. A ship makes way and cars give way at junctions.

"Instore" when they mean in the shop. If something's in store it's stashed away and possibly not immediately accessible.

For me, people who start a conversation with the word so.

It's not a word, the past participle of sneak is sneaked.

Kill em, kill em all. These pedantic expletives who keep on about what people talk like and that.

Smile and pass the past  participle. People is watching.
