What makes a good English Breakfast to you?

Not sure if this is a good English breakfast but while in London I had almost the same thing every morning.
Two poached eggs with toast, slices of tomato with either beans or sausage.  A couple of mornings I had potatoes thrown in.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Fried Bread!!  If you can pop a soft fried egg on top of it...Lovely
You cut into the egg and the yolk drips onto the fried bread.
The combination of soft egg and crispy bread is the best way to start any day.
:) mmmmm!

Fulham winning the day before. Taking my wife to Reading game and then off to a hotel in Oxfordshire for the night because its her birthday on the Sunday. Hope the breakfast is good!
I could have just said KIPPERS.

Working on building sites, im quite often found in a local cafe at breakfast time as my increasingly bulging waistline is testament too.

Sign of a good cafe is proper chips, not those silly thin chips that some cafes do.
2 sausage egg chips and beans is what i normally have although i was in one the other day in Dalston and they didnt do chips until 12.
So had egg, sausage, bacon, beans and tomatoes and i actually enjoyed not having chips.

Best breakfast i have had in a while was at St Georges Park up in Burton on trent

It has to have black pudding, no chips on there for me.

Two sausages, two bacon, two eggs (any form), mushrooms, black pudding and I always preferred the spaghetti hoops type things. Big cup of tea and possibly some toast (just butter) will set you up for the day ahead.

BestOfBrede

2 sausages (Lincolnshire), 2 rashers (smoked), fried bread, mushrooms, TINNED tomatoes, 1 Fried egg (runny), baked beans, a cup/mug of tea and a slice of WHITE bread with REAL butter (thickly spread) to wipe the plate!

A Boiled Egg and an Oxo Cube.
Woolly this is about breakfast, not what you do on a Friday night out.

I was staying in a hotel in a little backwater seaside village, went down to breakfast and it was pick and mix from a long list of items - so I ordered bacon, sausages, tomatoes and cod. The waitress gave me a funny look and went off to the kitchen. When she came back she put the plate down and I said "ah, the piece of cod which passeth all understanding". I thought that was witty but there wasn't so much as a titter. And some fell on stony ground...

Funny how the other side has all the good quotes.
