Ross to Return....

It appears that Villa will listen to offers for Ross...on a loan or sale basis.

If this is the case......Khan , Slav and Ali Mac.....must immediately act to bring him back to Craven Cottage....NOW!!

Ross....IMHO....would provide the 2 elements we are currently lacking in...set-pieces..ie penalties and 'Goal Execution' for all the 'half-chances' that we create each game.

They say..never return....but not true in this case.....his skill set is exactly what we need to secure our Top 6 finish.

Williams Tale

We are playing fast attractive football , Ross would only slow play down , so its a big NO from me .

No thanks. We don´t need another that throws his toys out of the pram at the slightest whim.

Can't see why on Earth they'd sell or loan him back to us. They'll surely have others interested. And, as Slavisa would say, why help a rival? We're the only club going at the moment who know how to use him and who he'd acclimate to quickest.

The odds that he'd immediately improve any club into a playoff calibre opponent would be highest with us. Why would Villa shoot themselves in the foot in this way? .....unless they are desperate to get under FFP spending limits

As enjoyable as it was watching him score goals for us, it was no fun at all seeing him disrupt the shape and performance of the team along with the poor results that followed.  If there's one thing we learned from both Ross and Berbatov, it's that this is a team game.  Both those players destroyed our teams.
So, 100% no from Nogood.

He is far too plump, if he had volunteered to apply to Join Burts Annual Lettuce Leaf Challenge, I may have given him a second chance.
Plus Ross has a bit of an attitude. Also we are a completely different team and our system of play is a much faster tempo, that would leave him still back in the dressing when we are kicking off.

You can catch a few minutes of him every now and then when Villa are on tv. You'll recognise him as the game keeps passing him by. Now Villa have a good astute manager, they have learnt that lesson pretty quick. It took us a bit longer for the penny to drop.

Many people are saying we have best midfield in the league. Mcdonald and Cairney were playing in our midfield last season. People weren't saying that last season

Steve Bruced has laughed of rumours of a loan move and also said it would not make sense for Villa to let him go

Do any of you know him personally? Disruptive? Cant play in the current formation? Bad attitude? Apparently not when he was doing community work in the area. What are you all talking about? He is a very good footballer, scores goals for fun and might, just MIGHT be the finishing touch this team needs to put away the chances created. If the price is right, worth a punt. If he is available of course. Just saying. Unless of course another striker is lined up....Messi perhaps.

I think he was disruptive, or do you not recall his mystery injuries right before he signed another new contract.

No thanks.Great striker but FFC has moved on and we are much better for it.

Plus we absolutely mugged them off with the fee for a player of his age. Strikers are expensive yes but if we are to shell out we should really be trying to get someone younger for that kind of money

H4usuallysitting

I'm wondering if our stats guy has turned over the Villa stats guy.....The man can score goals, but you have to play his way - we have moved on.....to be honest I didn't think Martin was the ideal replacement, so now we're back to square one - only this time we have a chance of the play off's (slim chance, yes - but still a chance).....let's trust the club to sort it all out

Southdowns White

Why would we have him back, no team can have success from one player dominating every attacking move, we had no balance when he was at the club so very little worked in all the other areas on the pitch. He's a great player but needs a manager who can control him in whatever roll the manager wants, it seems like villa, Fulham and all his other clubs have realised that there is a problem otherwise he would still be wanted by or playing for those clubs.
