I ubnderstand from the obituaries and comments he was a thoroughly decent man and very well respected.

My memory was entirely locked into malcom Macdonald's comment that when we played them in the cup we were playing first division football and high flying watford were playing, if memory serves correctly, dinasaur football.' however whilst i agreed with malcom, watford were massively effective largely because they had wonderfully gifted forwards such as blissett and barnes
I recall Mr Taylor was mighty upset by Sir Malcom's comments.

it is interesting to noe Mr taylor went on to manage england and become a respected pundit and malcom is rarely heard of outside of the north east....
