What is it with our chairman/senior management are they just incapable of targeting a half decent players and getting the deal over the line. It doesn't matter whether its the pre season or January transfer period we seem unable to to have a clear cut strategy that delivers results. Ultimately it has to come down to the fact that our chairman just does not want to compete.
How frustrating for all the playing staff and coaches - here we are on Jan 24th and no visible targets of any note. The usual clandestine wheeling and dealing that will deliver a couple of loan players that are no upgrade on what we currently have.

There is an entire week left of the window. Majority of deals get done in last 48 hours. As a buyer, this is not our choice. But clubs want to hold on to assets as long as possible & look for best deal possible.  Sellers are dragging their feet. This happens every year. And posts like yours happen every year too. Sorry - not trying to have an argument. Its just so boring hearing negative comments towards our board when its clearly a bigger issue.

Ah, I recall the days when Dad would look up from reading his Daily Telegrapgh at the kitchen table & announce we'd signed some has been or nobody.  We'd still get excited all the same, how times have changed.
