If we were to get promoted can the club still play the FFP card?

Not intending to criticise the board or anything. Just wondered whether the rules go out the window and what with the prem TV money can (and will) the reigns come off?

I think it would be a bigger gamble not spending a good 40 million in the first season to give us the quality required. But does anyone feel those figures are realistic for
A) the club
B) the owner
C) the regulations

£40 mill would be about half of what we will need to spend. I think we would need about 7 new players of a higher standard than we have now.

C)do they count in the PL? If they do ignore them

well there are two important numbers that go up, firstly your revenue up to £100mor more and secondly the permitted losses up to EUR 30m (I think) so between those two increases, even with a lot of it being committed to a massive new wage bill, i think £40m is a rather conservative spend.
