After spending a fortune of Ross, who went off like a damp squib

The have now lost their latest buy:-
(from the BBC) Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan has been ruled out for up to five weeks with an ankle injury. The 24-year-old suffered the injury late on in Monday's defeat at Championship leaders Newcastle. Boss Steve Bruce had been concerned the injury could have left the former Brentford man out for the remainder of the season. Hogan joined Villa from the Bees for £12m in January but is yet to score in four appearances.

It's just not their season.

They seem to have inherited the monkey that had been sat on our shoulder for the last three seasons
It could be better but it's real life and not a fantasy

I have a number of friends who support Villa - and my No2 son - so I hear a lot.  This guy who owns them is seriously rich and totally focussed on a return to the Prem.  He proved with Di Matteo that he's ruthless - with Bruce do they have another Ranieri moment in the making?
