Boat Race at The Cottage

I was maybe thinking of going.Has any of you been before and if so what was your experience?Can't really understand the offer of £12.00 for terrace tickets with a bite to eat.They are not showing any other options,does somebody take over the lounges or something?Thanks for any insights in advance.

I cannnot understand how Oxford and Cambridge seem to reach the Varsity Boat Race Final every year.

in previous years there was also a footy game between Oxford and Cambridge played either before or after the boat race (depending on the tide) but I don't think the has been played for some time, I've not been this century so I can't help too much
