Here's another little fact sone aluko has scored  more goals from open play, whilst playing in an attacking midfield role than Martin has playing upfront. And to think, quite a few think alukos finishing leaves a lot to be desired, so what does that then say about Martin

Aluko plays as much "up front" as Martin does. Only difference is Aluko is at least facing the goal generally whereas Martin plays with his back to it. Like him or not, You're literally talking about one of the best finishers in the league in Martin, and one of the worst I've seen in my life, in Aluko. If you'd said Dan Burn was better at finishing than Diego Forlan you'd have sounded substantially more credible

can you tell me how the worst finisher has got more goals than the best one in open play then please.

Firstly because Aluko has played more games
Secondly because I doubt that stat is even correct
And thirdly why don't free-kicks count for you anyway? !

from recollection, Martin has two free kicks and two pens, to his name and aluko none, ergo aluko has more goals from open play.  And as to why I don't count dead balls, yes if you had an attacker who was a specialist dead ball expert then yes it's a bonus (we clearly don't) but when you don't, adding the odd goals to a players tally can really mask the true ability of said player in his position. For example, remember that goal keeper that used to take all the dead balls, he ended up as one of the top scorers in his team one year. But you wouldn't class him as a good attacking option. And all thru the years in the premier, you always get one striker who is right up for the golden boot due to his midfield winning lots of pens, which any half decent striker will Bury the majority of (yes that dig is at both aluko,Martin and others) so I'mo the odd dead ball goal truly doesn't reflect much as to a players ability or worth

And also there are a ton of ways to measure someone finishing. For example Martin has a 21% shot to goal ratio. Whilst young sess has a 26% shot to goal ratio. Which is really impressive actually. Gonna have to check everyones now

So I had a quick look. Took stats from the offal. And our best finisher comes in as Cyriac with a 34% shot to goal ratio. Followed by odoi on 28% and young sess on 26%. You have to take into account slightly that both Cyriac and odoi have very limited goals and shots to there name, and as such I proclaim Ryan sessegnon as our best finisher at the club. God I hope he stays

I can see why you think that way about your fellow supporters but I have waxed lyrical about Martin when he showed a semblance of real form.  It just hasn't happened more than the once though.   I'd love him to shut me up and have me eat my words unless I have something good to say about him.
