Playing 'Well'

I see this a lot from both Slavisa, our fans, and rival fans, that we always tend to play 'well', regardless of whether we win lose or draw. The problem I have is that I regard defending well, showing mental and physical resilience and discipline, being able to avoid cock ups, finishing chances as all being constituents of a 'good' performance. Yet however the fact that we hold a lot of possession and play a good passing game alone is not enough, at least in my eyes, to say we play 'well'. For me, good football is the ability to win games, by any means (although obviously not cheating or gamesmanship). I think what Slav and the fans need to realise is that there is a difference between 'Good' football and attractive football. We play a lot of the latter, not so much of the former.
