looks like Brentford's Jota is off to the prem, not playing in a friendly and 4 prem clubs interested. Fee will reportedly be around 8 million

I make that a good deal for someone. Brentford will be a lot weaker without Jota.

So are Huddersfield just going to buy everyone we're linked with?

Think Kilne and Talbot must me doing a job share with Huddersfield

Others have said there's an overlap between the top half of the championship and bottom half of the championship but you can't be happy if you're a Huddersfield fan and you're scrapping around with championship clubs for championship players. clearly they've no ambition to finish much above 17th. Last time we were in that position we bought Van Der Sar (even then we only finished 13th)
They're accepting the fact that they're likely to be relegated, so they can't exactly hope for anything more than 15th.

Regarding players leaving the club, we've seen Stearman and Malone absent from the training camp in Poland and quickly know why so who else is missing and therefore likely to be on the way out?

Woodrow missing? probably due to recent international duty.
Kavanagh missing? is he still with us?
Bettinelli missing? next to leave?

Kavanagh is our 2nd choice LB (remember how bad he was last time he was second choice with Mad Magath?)
Bett's I could see being off.

You make a find point of looking for people in the pictures. Wonder if the club are doing us a favor and keeping us informed in this manner. If he's not in the pictures, he's off!

I don't see Kav as second choice elet back at all, Think Odoi and Sess may well be that side and Fred and Cisse (who apparently started as a right back and can now play midfield) or posisbly Djiku (think thats his name) who we have been linked with on the right side

Don't think you can write anyone off like that. He's not fantastic by any stretch but maybe a decent preseason and a test of Slavs coaching skills or something?
We have plenty of players at the club who just aren't developing, they're stagnating. The limbo ones , i.e. Not youth team but not first team seem to have been ignored and surely a decent bit of coaching and motivating can sort him, LVC, Woodrow et al out .

Were being mentioned along with Derby for Max Gradel.

There's a bit of buzz brought about by Gary Lineker about transfers, rumours, exclusives etc

Gary: Always baffled why journalists feel need to be 1st with a transfer story? What's the difference? Throw enough darts, you'll get a bullseye.
I agree it's harmless fun, and we all love a rumour, but this need to take credit for getting the odd one right is a tad juvenile.

Richard Osman: I'm hearing from sources that Tad Juvenile is signing for Stoke.

Piers Morgan: Fans love transfer scoops just as much as they loved your 6ft tap-ins.

Gary: They love the transfers. They don't give a monkeys who breaks the story.

Piers: Most people don't care who cooks their food in restaurants but the chefs do & are rightly proud of beating rivals to Michelin stars etc.

Gary: That's not a very good analogy. It's about the quality of the food not who gets it on the table the quickest.

There's a whole heap more there but a lot is waffle. But I dunno what it is, whether the quality of journalism is at the standard of love island or big brother, or the need for 24/7 news has reduced the quality of reporting to a great deal of nonsense. A lot made up and a fraction the truth, just so the quantity of news put out is greater than the quality and the probability that if you write 100 reports all with no shred of credibility, one is bound to hit the bullseye, bang on the money, and that's how journalists are viewed, quantified and evaluated.

Gary's first comment of throwing enough darts and eventually hitting a bullseye seem to be correct. Whether it's Slav leaving, Cairney leaving , sessegnon leaving, we've had it all and all have bee without concrete credibility. You can guarantee if any of them actually wanted to leave , they wouldn't be here .
I'd love actual football reporting to go back to credible sources, articles based on interviews And quotes etc. See all this nonsense about Lukaku , not one article carry a single quote from himself, agent, or either team. Leave the speculation for forums and twitter conversations, but the journalists passing themselves off as in the know super agents really add nothing to their own credibility or to a football conversation in general by the sheer amount of guesswork going on.

Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier but a couple of the other forums saying Watford are keen on Fredericks.
Hope this isn't true as would be disappointed if he goes.

Wearethewhites

Kalas deal pretty much dead, both clubs can't agree on a fee. Expected not to go through, unless something changes. Jokanovic had put a timeline on the situation, before we started to pursue other targets, with that timeline being this Friday.

Transfer talk: Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks linked with Watford switch

Fulham's Ryan Fredericks is the latest in a long-line of full-backs to be linked with Watford this summer.

The 24-year-old played 27 times for the Cottagers in the Championship last season, including starting both of legs of their play-off semi final defeat to Reading.

He's been at Craven Cottage for two seasons now, after coming through the academy at Tottenham Hotspur. Fredericks never played for Spurs, though, and spent much of his time out on loan.

Watford's desire to strengthen their options defensively on both flanks is no secret, but Fredericks is a right-sided player, first and foremost, and the Hornets have already secured the signature of Kiko Femenia to provide Daryl Janmaat with competition.

He can play on the left-side, too, where the Hornets do still need to strengthen, but it would be an odd move.

Prior to their play-off semi-final defeat, Fredericks had spoken of the need to go up to make sure that Fulham kept their best players, saying: "It is very important that we go up, because then we have a better chance of keeping our best players."

He was referring to Tom Cairney and Ryan Sessegnon, then, but if the rumours are to be believed, Fredericks could be the man on the move.

Not to say that something may change later down the line, however, it's felt that Chelsea are hanging out for the best possible deal, maybe from a Prem club. However, if we've any chance, it's not likely that a deal can be struck later in the window, and Fulham won't risk it.

That's disappointing. Any idea of what the desired/offered fee was? Hopefully it wasn't a small discrepancy...

Can't blame the club not going for that, if true.....especially if we have other affordable irons in the fire. Perhaps, like with many transfers, Chelsea prefer to wait until the end of the window to see what the market will bring. Would imagine that, with his stated desire to leave, they'd be more willing to negotiate if he's still available.

FULHAM, HULL, QPR, AND SUNDERLAND TO BATTLE FOR LIGUE 1 MIDFIELD SENSATION

The Championship quartet of Fulham, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers, and Sunderland are expressing an interest in Paris Saint-German starlet Christopher Nkunku, according to Get West London.

The 19-year-old midfielder came up through the youth ranks at the French giants before making his first team debut back in 2015 in a Champions League group stage clash against Shakhtar Donetsk.

And the France youth international has since gone on to add a further 21 appearances for the side, including 16 in all competitions last term as Unai Emery's side came up short in their quest to win a fifth successive Ligue 1 title, finishing eight points behind champions Monaco.

And with Nkunku unlikely to command a regular starting berth at PSG next term, he has reportedly been attracting interest from a whole host of clubs around the continent, not least the Championship quartet of Fulham, Hull, QPR, and Sunderland.

Leonid Slutsky's Hull and Simon Grayson's Sunderland will be looking for an immediate return to the Premier League following relegation last term, and as such will want talent like Nkunku in their ranks to aid in that quest.

Fulham reached the top six last season but fell to Reading in the semi-finals, and will hope to bolster their attacking options ahead of another promotion push, while Ian Holloway's QPR finished just two points clear of the bottom three, and thus need reinforcements to climb the division next time round.

However, with Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne reportedly having made a loan move for the 19-year-old, it very much remains to be seen whether any of the aforementioned Championship quartet can get a deal done for the Frenchman this summer.

Fulham, Hull, QPR, and Sunderland fans... what do you make of the news? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
