REPORT: HANNOVER AND FULHAM EYE CROWLEY LOAN

According to ESPN, Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley has a number of clubs eager to sign him on loan next season.

The 19-year-old midfielder is yet to make an appearance for Arsene Wenger's first team but has long been tipped as a future star having been snapped up from Aston Villa three years ago.

Last summer the England youth international signed a season-long deal with Oxford United only for the League One side to call time on the arrangement six months early. It was suggested at the time that the player's attitude had played a role in the decision.

Crowley subsequently moved to Eredivisie outfit Go Ahead Eagles in January and went on to score twice and make two assists in 16 appearances.

His performances in the Dutch top flight appear to have turned heads with both Fulham and Bundesliga side Hannover eager to offer him more first team experience. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will sanction an early loan or give the player a chance to shine in the upcoming pre-season tour of Sydney and China.

Dan Crowley is the real deal, would love Fulham to bring him in on loan. That would show real intent, and send out a positive message.
This guy is genuine quality, and a decent prospect if coached and managed well.

Yes I read that, but I never believe everything I read, I do not think you can compare him and Martin, two different age groups, two different cases.
Oxford seemed to have had an issue with him, maybe or maybe not he thought he was the dogs genitals when he was there which would not have gone down too well.
Maybe he fell out with somebody with influence.
There are two sides to every story.
Teenagers do daft things whilst growing up, perhaps he wasn't Managed properly, Oxford initially saw something in him, and Arsenal certainly do.
One mans meat is another mans poison.
One mans hero is another mans terrorist.
In my line of work, I have learnt never to believe ' hearsay ' or ' third party ', its circumstantial and genuinely an opinion built on a hidden agenda.
Although I agree it's best to be wise before the event, which is why it's important to research and gather information, and watch a player who has been identified as a target, by watching them play at away grounds, to see how they react in a different more hostile atmosphere, and their body language when things are going wrong, how they communicate, and if they encourage or not, do they go missing and hide, when things are rough.
That's why a Manager is employed to 'manage', and the good ones generally are successful.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

@jolslover

I have never really seen Crowley play. But someone who couldn't nail down a starting spot at League 1 Oxford can't be all that. I would rather see LVC be used as midfield cover over loaning one of Arsenals youth players that isn't even an improvement.

But as I said. Never seen him play and stats dont always show the full picture.

You make a good point about LVC, and I agree with what you say.
When he came into the team he looked the real deal, that unfortunate injury set him back, and it's taken him a while to find his best form again, but I would rather see him be given the opportunity to blossom in Fulham colours again. Hopefully he will have a good u21 championship and recover his old form again for the new season.

We were concerned with the lack of central mid-field cover once the trio nailed starting positions.  A galvanised LVC coming back to us and being used in conjunction with Johanson and Cairney would in effect be an excellent new signing for us and keep the other two fresh.  One that I would prefer over a unknown 19 year old with potential.  Another Thomas Eisfeld?

Do we need to sign a premier league clubs young midfielder on loan, and help develop them, when we have LVC, Adeniran and De la Torre?

Would like to see our youth given the chance along with LVC.

@jolslover

To be fair. If Adeniran is a regular part of the squad I dont think we will be anywhere near automatic spots. A good prospect but not ready for first team football just yet.

I like Della Torre aswell, But if some of you complain Piazon is leightweight... De la Torre even more so.

Real Betis to offer Fulham man Jozabed a chance to return home to Spain
The Spaniard spent half of the season out on loan with Celta Vigo and returned to Fulham earlier this month, but he is still keen on a move back to Spain
Real Betis are ready to offer Jozabed the chance to move back to Spain this summer after he returned to Fulham from his loan spell at Celta Vigo.

The former Rayo Vallecano spent half of the season out on loan at Celta after only signing for the Craven Cottage outfit in the summer having struggled to make an impact and to settle in England.

Celta had the option to make the deal permanent in June after the two clubs agreed a buy clause, but the La Liga side felt the fee was too high and decided against making a move.

Now Real Betis are ready to offer Jozabed a move home, with Fulham wanting around a permanent solution to the situation, as opposed to another loan deal.

It is believed that Jozabed is keen to return to Spain, with Betis believing they are in a good position to sign the Spaniard as a result of their close proximity to his home.

I really like LVC and hope he can play a big part for us next season. I'm not sure though whether Jokanovic sees him as a CM. I can't check at the moment, but if I remember well all the games he played this year was either as left or right winger.

I went to see burton v Ipswich as I was staying with friends. LVC was coming back from jury and only came on for the last ten minutes, but he made such an impact. Definitely back in contention. We were very lucky this season that none of our midfield three got injured.

Did LVC play CM or as a wide midfielder for Burton?

If Joka sees LVC as a wing man then we should sell him as he is not an Aluko, Ayite, Sess or Kebano type which Joka favours.  If Joka converts LVC to a CM, as he did with Cairney, then I think that LVC would do well in our setup and would be as good as a new signing.  I see LVC as a box to box player in a similar mould to Johanson.  Not sure that Joka does though.

Jozabed, for me, is to lightweight.  If Betis are interested then IMO we should cut our losses and ship Jozabed back to Spain.

Transfermarkt show him as CM in 12 outings, on the right in 4.

He should be in evidence for Denmark u21 this evening.

Fulham 'slap £7m price tag' on Kevin McDonald to warn off Nottingham Forest (Nottingham Post)

Telegraph today reports Forrest have signed striker Jason Cummings from Hibs for £1.8m so it would seem as if are looking for early window signings.
I would however expect a £7m price tag on MacDonald to frighten them off.

Not in the slightest. It is part of Wiki's new DeLorean/Flux Capacitor roll out. If you investigate further you will find the next three Leeds managers and the winner of 2018 Grand National. Pity about us getting beaten in the 2020 FA Cup semi-final.
