Allegedly he's flying in tomorrow to sign for us, as per someone else who claims be be ITK. Is that closer to the truth?

its closer as I just posted he has spoken to the Uruguay manager and is coming to the UK tomorrow.

Think Newcastle signing Murphy may have sealed the deal - they didn't see Rolan as a primary central option for them.

Please say if I am wrong, but is Murphy just about to move FROM Newcastle to Forest?

I'm not sure what we expected with Tony Khan and Craig Kline in charge of our recruitment. It was perhaps Naive of us to expect any different. Here's to hoping they completely prove me wrong by the end of the window.

Yeah. With the continuation of signings like Kmac, Kalas, Malone, Odoi, Johansen, Ayite, Kebano, Aluko and crap re-signings like Sessegnon and Cairney, I'd expect us to be in League 1 by November. Out with them, I say.  :028:

There are quite a few naive people around. They applauded the appointments of the two above even though  as I have posted before Khan and Kline are totally not qualified to hold such posts in an English soccer club.
Few other clubs would hamstring themselves with such ridiculous appointments.
We are reaping what has been sowed.

Hopefully, this whole Roland story coming to an end might result in the club becoming even more determined to get the other targets. I can understand why the club would be reluctant to sign both Jerome and Rolan seeing as there are other ares that needs to be strengthen and we dont have a bottomless pit of money to spend.

And speaking about that: How much money do you lot reckon we have? Im afraid that some people on here are clearly overestimating the amounts we have at hand when they talk about how we should sign Rolan and Jerome and 2-3 other players. Just dont think we have the funds to sign 4-5 more players unless they cost £1-2 mil each.

Why don't you think we have sufficient funds at hand?  Or did you mean something slightly different, namely that we cannot spend these funds without breaching fair play rules?  (Not that I would necessarily agree with the latter).

Jerome got 16 Goals last season, and he's a pretty good Championship level Striker. We could do a lot worse than him.
