From TIFF: Approaches have been made for Aboubakar Kamara (10 goals last season for Amiens, we almost signed him in january) and Cyle Larin (39 goals in 77 games for Orlando City in MLS).

Orlando have just signed a new goal scorer - Dom Dwyer . So could the Cyle Larin link have legs ? Anyone seen him play ?

Eddie JOhnson had a decent recod for Dallas and Kansas befor ehe joined us.

When I watch the games on sky the level seems not to be that good. The league has a lot of potential but right now, for me at least, the level worries me when signing a player.

the MLS has improved a hell of a lot since we signed Eddie though to be fair. im not saying Larin is the new Ronaldo but he would certainly do a job in my opinion

To put things into perspective - I think few if any of the teams in our league have completed their squad building or are likely to before the season kicks off.

I think the best perspective would be, how many of them still don't have a good striker on their books?
Why is it the BEST,? It's just your opinion.

I've no idea, can you please tell me.

By way of comfort, we still have most of the people who scored our goals in the second half of the season and I doubt that many club can say that

It could be better, but it's not a fantasy:

im very excited about Larin if thats true! im actually a member of the Orlando City fan club as well and he has a great record (albeit in the MLS) scores some excellent goals, young, strong and mobile
i would think this would be a perfect type of player we are looking at. might not come cheap though

Larin was recently arrested for drunk driving. Not the type I would want at Fulham.

Ronaldo, Messi and Naymar was arrested for Tax Fraud, Rooney has a shady incident in his past, Benzema was arrested for Blackmai....wouldnt want any of them? people make mistakes

Corbs, are you a member of the Orlando City UK fan club? My friend runs it. He's absolutely bonkers for Orlando City.

Bad sponsor in my view. Gambling can be terribly addictive & I feel all advertising should be banned. I have heard of some terrible results of online & mobile phone gambling. Even if I were to buy a shirt I would refuse this one.

Sympathise with this but we've already had marathon bet and Fx pro and there are coral ads and stalls all over the ground these days so I think you just have to go with the flow
dont forget Bet Fair.

If you dont us ethe gambling sponsors or drinks sponsors then there are very few that will pay you good value, especially in the championship

I can't get excited about potential signings from the MLS still.

The gulf with European leagues is just astoundingly wide - I mean, Bradley Wright-Phillips became a world beater there and even Eddie Johnson looked good again when he went back. Jozy Altidore was once the next big thing in North American football, but look how bad he was in England.

Im all for gambling sponsors as long as it brings the revenue in.We certainly are not the first and will not be the last. Its a sign of the times nowadays.Id prefer anything other than that dreaded Pizza Hut sponsor we had back in the good ol days. The new kit looks great as well though. Now lets just get a top striker and Kalas to wear it please.Come on FFC pull your finger out.

westcliff white

That may be true and I think most people understand the financial logic... but as fans and knowing there are options out there and also understanding the negative affects gambling has on people, especially footballers - with key players suffering mental health issues and losing all of their earnings  (David James for example)  I think many will be disappointed with the direction the club has chosen to go in, especially given the fact that those who know the history of the club will be aware the club was founded as a church Sunday league team way back when... seems an insensitive and inconsiderate move considering all the above.

Of course, two of our real Premier League years stars. Though I think they're the exception that proves the rule.

McBride did move to Europe for a short time early in his career, which probably helped him in the future. Apart from those two, and a handful of keepers the success of Americans in Europe has been minimal.

I'm not saying he can't be a good player, of course, I'd just rather it wasn't us who took the gamble at this stage.
