On Sky Sports:

TWO MORE FOR FOREST

Nottingham Forest are "close" to signing two more players, with the Nottingham Post reporting that the club have renewed their interest in Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald, while the other is likely to be a Premier League loanee.
"We are looking for two more players now," manager Mark Warburton said. "That will be us done after that. I want a squad of 22 or 23."

This is going to be a massive loss if we loose him! I don't care how much we get for him because at the moment once again there seems to be no reinvestment from any player sales, just loans. Khan is driving this club down and down!

If true & we do let him go, (and maybe Aluko too), that is a perfect example of how to ruin one of the leagues top teams.

Makes sense, unfortunately. I hadn't heard any rumours of him being injured...

If this is true I find I strange that Slav didn't mention it he only mentioned Aluko.
I think and hope this only came about from some hack Journo (Alan Nixon) on Twitter he does  seem to start a load of BS.

I haven't been disappointed with any of our player sales in the last couple of years and I'm confident that will continue. I would bet a pound to a penny we are not selling McDonald to forest but even if we do, it will only be because they've offered to pay far more than he's worth, like £15m. If they want to pay that much then fine; we'll replace him with someone better and still have cash left over for another position.

If it was something like 15 mill and we were to actually spend 15 mill on first team players I'd accept it. I could see us selling him and only investing 3 back in or something!  :005:

That's the problem though, or the worry. We won't replace him with someone better. And even if we did, a better player would cost just as much, if not more & probably come from outside the English leagues, which isn't necessarily a problem, but would certainly take time to settle in. More importantly, we won't spend that sort of money either - maybe a fraction would actually go back in to the team.

Selling him is a pointless exercise really as we already have one of the best players in the league in that position in......... McDonald

@jolslover

What price would people accept for aluko and mcdonald?

I would want 10mill each, That's how important I think they both are, and I don't think any club would realistically pay that.

Wouldn't sell anyone else until August 31st to ensure we're able to start season competitively, and then sell when incomings are able and settled to play.
and even at that play hardball and milk any buying team for as much as we can rather than folding at the first offer

Don't get your knickers in a twist, we have not sold him yet! If he doesn't play on Saturday then you need to start worrying.

Your correct on that.

Mullers OG

Losing McDonald would be a serious error.  He's a vital part of the team and anchored the midfield last season allowing Cairney and Johanson to play with freedom.  Whether Cisse could do the same must be open to doubt.  Losing in my opinion Aluko is different.  He's a forward who can't finish, rarely passes and can't head.  As a club looking for promotion we should be able to do much better.  If anyone is really foolish enough to offer good money for him we should bite their hands off and reinvest it in a proper striker.

Calm down, I'm hardly getting my knickers in a twist by making an observation/opinion following 'rumours' that McDonald 'may' be sold.

Aboubakar Kamara should be tomorrow. I'd actually be pretty pleased with that.

He's got the right physical atributes for our style I think. Will be excited to see how he gets on

We have other targets in France now [...] Majeed Waris, [...] In Belgium we are looking at [...] Jere Uronen.
Both have had spells in Sweden. Waris is a forward and a real bloody speedster, at least the last time I saw him. Would def fit into our style of play and someone who Joka would love I guess. Dont know what hes like today but seems to have finally settled at Lorient and scored some goals i Ligue 1.

Uronen is a left back and had his breakthrough at an early age. Made his international debut at 18 and was playing regularly for swedish side Helsingborg at that age, which is somewhat impressive. Also seems to have excelled when going abroad (to Genk) and from what ive heard hes been impressing people in Belgium.
