Pure fabrication, there is no way the club would do this. They would offer a non-promotion release clause at a low value but they simply wouldn't do it.

absolutely agree. even if it was a clause to say we will recoup half our outlay. we wouldnt offer that kind of contract. i dont believe it for a moment. its a shame as it makes me sceptical about the Rui Fonte deal as well...
