if we sign Mollo the its a Fotheringham / Petsos type deal.

The man was bag average in france, goes to russia lets say for footballing reasons, gets demoted to Zenits b team and then released.

That's a bit harsh on him. He's not set the world alight, but he was Sovetov's best player which earned him his move to Zenit and he fell out of favour when he flipped off the Zenit fans when they were giving him homophobic abuse after he posted a picture of a bloke (who it turned out was his Dad) kissing him on the forehead on Instagram.

He was the best player in a small team in the russian league, which is, well not the best, sorry but dont think its harsh but reality.

Like I said, he's not set the world alight but saying he flopped at Zenit is one of the big reasons for that is just being ill informed. I'd be fine with him as a depth option- especially on a Free.

I didnt say he flopped, but I would not say he was a roaring success considering he was dropped to Zenits B team, Now the a team play in an average league by all accounts (unless of course you consider the russian league to be a top league) so I can only imagine what level b team football is at in russia.

I think we can argue forever about the finer details of why Mollo was dropped to the B team... But the main point is that he is a downgrade on Sone Aluko. Jota would have been an upgrade due to his end product. This is a bit of a slap in the face to Jokanovic if you ask me. No other way you can spin it.

Jokanovic did not want to sell Aluko. He may not have minded if we replaced him with a player that is better than or equal to what we lost but Mollo clearly is not this player. So bloody typical.

So, unless something unexpected happens, this will prove to be a typical Kahn window in which there is some movement of players, but no money actually spent leaving us arguably no better, or maybe be slightly worse off than we were last season. All the while so many clubs in our division are strengthening their squads quite considerably.  Let's hope for a surprise addition to the squad who can actually improve it rather than hang around on the fringes and then disappear having made no difference.  You know-  the Syriac syndrome. I'm not holding my breath though.

How do you know that Mollo may or may not be better than Aluko? What possible comparison do you have? This is what irritates me because only time will tell if he is a worthy replacement if we sign him so you can't bash someone you've never seen in our team because he could turn out to be our best player this year...

Mollo, is the long lost brother of Groucho, Harpo and Zicco Marx.
He couldn't beat a carpet, foul a footpath, head a search party, pass water or tackle a boiled egg.
But we got him because of his outstanding stats, from Two Bob Rovers in the Tim Buc Tu
Second Division, for two Sheep and a Goat, or better known as an undisclosed fee.
Apparently a Fulham spokesman admitted that he is still recovering from a double compound fracture of the left tibia and fibula, which the player sustained two weeks ago. The spokesman added, we know it's early days, but we anticipate he will be back in shape by season 2018/19 if we are lucky.
But we felt that it was an opportunity we could not ignore as it will save us paying out a few million pounds on a proper footballer, and I repeat it was his stats that tipped the scales.

Well, Russian league is not an average league. In fact, it`s one of 7/8 best leagues in Europe, imo. There are a lot of good players (Russians pay well, especially top clubs there) and Zenit is a very good european club.
