So, no REAL news on Obita then! Can any Reading based Foffers keep their ear to the ground please.

Have you seen the video with him leaving on crutches and his foot in a protective cast? I just saw it on here in another post.  The only way he will be playing is if it was all a game to make us think he'll be out and then to surprise us.. it looked pretty bad. Nothing you'd be able to come back from in two days

I am sure they will be working on him to get him fit enough to play. That did not look an impact injury, more like strained ligaments. If it's an ankle joint, it will not clear up over night.
Cannot see him being 100%, then again the crutches may have been a precaution to keep the weight off the injury.
If he starts will he last 90 mins. We may know sooner rather than later.

Also on this... Ryan is obviously rapid and so if he needs to be chasing him all night that will only aggregate and already weak muscle/ligament. Maybe it's best he does start as he could actually be a weak link if not really fit... Too desperate to play etc..

Sounds promising. He was a decent player.
English by birth, Fulham by the grace of God.

Unless they have a cunning plan. That's my feeling also.

He doesn't appear concerned! No mention of an injury.

He 1000% would have been told not to say anything as otherwise we could prepare for it

That may have been a precaution but either way, even if he does play it won't be 100%

Obvious shortage of car parking at the ground
I can't believe that so many of them seemed to be walking towards Fulham Palace Road to catch the bus.
VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

STam has said they have afew days to work on him, but if he isnt git they have a big enough squad to cover. Sounded 50/50 to me, maybe the boot was a precatution. Twisted ankle being the diagnosis
Every day is a Fulham day

Chutney

Fredericks has this guy beat every time he comes forward, I hope he's fit.

A protective boot, that also offers a degree of comfort and impact absorption, along with properly set and used crutches would be standard for such an injury. It is going to bruise and it might still be swollen making x rays pointless so the only way we will really know what might occur will be his absence during the warm ups and a different fella in the back four come kick off.
This fella, for the most part anyway, had Fred sorted so if he is out Fred + Sess, at the expense of Ayite who rarely hits a barn door with banjo, and pace, pace pace. Lumping it just didn't work.

Agree re the boot, could have been a precaution till they could get him worked on.

Thikn ALuko is worse than Ayite shooting wise (over the season) but both need improvement thats for sure, we hwould of been ahead at half time but for a poor connection from Akuko and a terrible choice from Ayite.

As for lumping it you are right it didnt work, wasnt helped by poor distribution from the boot of betts though

I think Chutney might mean Fred has this guy beaten when he, Obita, is all strapped up and on crutches . . . . . . . . . if not Chutney we were doing the old watching different games two step.

JoelH5

Even if he does play he won't be 100% so maybe it's best they rush him back in

Saying that. We played poorly and drew. Then can do what they want, we'll beat them

Somebody needs to be instructed to get to the ground early and wait for the Reading players to arrive, and as he approaches the gates, kick him in his bad ankle and run like hell.

The reading forum seems resigned to him not being fit,but that's the forum not the club.

He certainly for the most part had the measure of frederick's pace, so whilst wishing him a good recovery not too soon.
1975 just leaving home full of hope

Some of the Reading fans were saying that he put in his best performance all season on saturday. I do remember he was absolutely awful when we beat them 5-0 earlier on in the season. I wouldn't be too upset at seeing him on the pitch tomorrow.
