5 of their starting line up went for 63m. I'm ssure if they put a value of he rest , the XI would be in excess of 100m. None of the team played to their capabilities in what looks like another team failing to play to how they should play. Very cagey, very iffy, they played like the 500k/ Bosman transfers They should be. Players like Redmond (23) should be leading this team instead it's left to the Chelsea players more accustomed to the bench (chalobah) and holland ( baker)
all credit to Sweden, but the youth have shown that England have and can maximise their resources to maximise its potential but it's seemed to stop at u21 level where that team plays like the seniors, who in turn have played like Southgates relegation team for Boro.. or nothing has changed

That's pretty much how I saw it, too.
Southgate has had a little bit of success with his junior sides but they are always so uninspiring, Boothroyd seems to be continuing the pattern.
This side lacked a creative force, which might at one time have been supplied by Will Hughes, who seems to have regressed, or the kind of individual brilliance that Pat Roberts can serve up. Demerai Gray, who came on late, used to be capable of this to a somewhat lesser extent, but he doesn't seem to have progressed much either.

Agree with these assessments.  We lack a strong midfield influence with leadership ability and flair, instead of the percentage game players favoured by those who tend to occupy England coaching posts.   Unimpressive.
