Good news:
Edun and Sess both start first group match v. Bulgaria

Bad news:
Doesn't seem to be on tv. Although the later Germany v Netherlands match is on Eurosport. That'll teach you to vote Brexit!

And England scores almost immediately. Mount assisted by Sterling.

Interested in if the lineups are correct on the under 19's site, says Edun is playing CB and Sess is CF.

Sessegnon scores early in the second half.

Fulham Midfielder Of Nigerian Descent Stars, Chelsea's Mount Scores As England

England U19s kicked off their participation in the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship on a winning note, beating Bulgaria 2-0 at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, Tbilisi on Monday afternoon.

Fulham midfielder of Nigerian descent Tayo Edun started and put in a full shift for the Young Lions in his second major tournament for his country of birth.

At the end of the first forty five minutes, England were 1-0 up courtesy of Chelsea teenage sensation Mason Mount, who converted a low cross from Dujon Sterling.

Three minutes after the restart, Fulham wonderkid Sessegnon slotted low past Dimitar Sheytanov after holding off two defenders.

Edun was solid defensively though he was penalized for fouls on Yordanov and Krastev in the first and second half respectively.

Keith Downing's side face the Netherlands in their next Group B fixture on Thursday, July 6.

The Intertoto might not exist anymore, but that doesn't matter. We'll still win it again.

Next up the Dutch (currently 1-1 with Germany), same time on Thursday.
This one is scheduled for Eurosport 2.

2nd match v Netherlands today. KO 2.30. On Eurosport 2

The Dutch whacked Germany in their opening match and, although not quite as dominant as the 4-1 would suggest, had some really skillful players on view.
Their wide right man Javairô Dilrosun looked particularly good. I looked him up to see what obscure Eredivisie outfit we might prise him away from only to discover that, in common with half the young payers in Europe, he is owned by Manchester City.

Sess(11) and Tayo (4) both start

Just seen Moritz Volz in the crowd.

Speaking of u19 football we're (NI) hosting the women's under 19 euro championships starting this month and there's a real buzz about it compared to what I can see from this crowd..

Wonder if they had a word with Edun and Sess before the game.

Interesting first half-hour.
First minute the England CH took out the Dutch hat-trick man with a challenge that would have made Bobby Keetch blush. Hope the kid is all right.
Since then England have had by far the best of it.

Sessegnon seeing a lot of action wide left. Missed out one-on-one with the keeper, then hit post.
Edun very impressive CM. Confident, intelligent, good control, not averse to putting in a tackle.
What a good little player the LB Dasilva is.

1-0 to England. Should have been more.

Sessegnon probably the classiest player on view.
Very impressed with Edun, rather see him signing a contract than some we have been connected with.

England won 1-0.

Good bunch of lads and especially impressed with Edun.

Sessegnon's shot rebounded to Brereton who scored the winner.

Yes, he was a calming presence in an otherwise a bit frantic England side. Hopefully he'll sign a new contract.

bucksfulham

Edun very impressive. Sessegnon given man of the match

A good England win, and good displays by the Fulham boys.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Sess should really have scored in the first half went one on one with the keeper. But my god he doesn't half make some fantastic runs
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.
