No he wasn't. He was one of our best players the season we went down and scored some vital (and great) goals.
Wouldn't be a step backwards at all but its an irrelevant discussion as he will never join us.

Have to disagree with this. I think fitness concerns people have are sensible. I do remember at times us only getting 45 mins a game but especially off the bench he would regularly be our MOTM in our last season.
