Arron Hughes is still playing International football for N Ireland. Well done to him, long may it continue.

He is one player we let go when we needed a football brain in our defence.

I don't know which club he plays for now.

Will never forget Aaron. A true professional. I think he went a record amount of games for a defender without a booking. Does anyone recall this?

I don't know what the record is. But his disciplinary record is, for a defender in the modern game, almost beyond belief.
In 615 appearances he received an amazing total of just 18 yellows (0 reds).
As a comparison Scott Parker had 111 (+ 3 double yellows and 2 reds) in 583 appearances.
Even a notably 'clean' defender like Paolo Maldini had 81 yellows (1 double yellow, 2 reds) in 904 outings.
