I know it's a bit drastic but when you start messing about with false 9s, 6 wingers in a squad, unfit strikers in the squad, winger/striker type players who don't compliment each other, when your new attacking players need time..... why can he not try something new and look at the whole squad and reward the u23s? At least a spot on the bench, Adebayo and Humphrys have BOTH scored 4 goals each in 6 games so far this season for the u23 team.
I'm not saying they are better and need to play, but half the squad are wingers without a clinical instinct, our plan B needs to be considered and it needs to include someone who can actually hit the ball clean and accurate . Again, not saying these 2 need to be playing week in week out, but they will clearly add something different while we figure out a new game plan as the opposition generally have found us out
