How can you say that mince unless you are on a wind up of course. It is the commessial stations who have an agenda, which is to please the advertisers. Then good old Beeb caters for people who don't want to be bombarded with adverts about anything until we are brain dead. It will be a sad day when they start to advertise on theย  Beeb

I never mentioned advertising on it,I said close it down.
You could do what I do and don't watch most of them,Read aย  good book instead.
I just went back to my childhood last week and read the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn again...

I did the same mince, and read Lady Chatterleys Lover, one of the great penguin books, without Pingu in it.

You are joking about BBC Sport.
Lost in the last 10 years..

Test Matches
Formula One
Derby Meeting
Grand National
Royal Ascot
Cheltenham Festival
Saturday Afternoon Sport
The Boat Race
All Horse Racing
The Open Golf
Need I go on....

They're a joke organization full of can't mention
on here...Their bias Politics..
The less horse racing on TV the better.ย  I'd hate to think any of my licence fee pays for that rubbish.

I always have a long face when the horse racing is on.

Hmmm, this is my day job, I work nights helping to keep you and the rest of the population safe, and it's time somebody put a Nose Bag on Clare Balding.

Love certain programmes on BBC like Horizon and Natural World for example.Have to agree they need to sort the Bias out on the political side.

That would be an upside of no horse racing on the BBC.

I only once watched the Epsom Derby, and believe or not a horse won it. ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฟ

Its not a question whether you or I or anyone likes the sports I've mentioned, the point is they lost them all,and there are millions out there who would want to see them, and paying the licence fee to see them.

I think you are just joining in with the right wing press tha continue to shout about a non existent bias in the BBC. It is of course absolute rubbish. There are a lot of places to get Fulham match reports in 2017 and the top 6 or 7 premier clubs win hands down over all the rest. If you don't believe me pick any other side and see what you get tomorrow

Thank goodness for some common sense.ย  Fortunately the Beeb manage to upset the right and the left in pretty much equal measure.ย  Some of the vitriolic nonsense in this thread makes me very sad. There are few media indtitutions in other countries that can hold a candle to the BBC, we should cherish it.ย  Yes they have their faults and make mistakes but that's life.

What year are you living in 1952.
The most corrupt organization on the planet, infested with Perverts..
Close it down.๐Ÿ’€

You must be mixing the Beeb with the Catholic Church, are you getting confused in old age?

Logicalman

I think we have to add perspective in here.

From a UK pov I can understand where people can easily see the bias proffered by the BBC, but for US peeps news, then the BBC is second to none, and I mean NONE.

Having listened/watched such a multitude of different news broadcasters over the years, the BBC provides the most comprehensive and accurate, albeit every news outlet has some bias (whether that be by omitting some fact or emphasizing others), but the BBC provide either a far more subtle bias, or just plain less than most others.
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Thank you, that's my point. I would like those complaining of bias to list two or three national broadcasters that offer more comprehensive, objective analysis than the Beeb.
And to those who are alleging corruption and/ or sexual impropriety I would be interested in the names of those employees?

You are most welcome.

In respect of corruption and/ or sexual impropriety, perhaps if some people took a look at the BBC News (irrespective of the expected bias) it can be seen just this week corruption on the grand scale of Kobe Steel and sexual impropriety on the scale of Hollywood, actually puts that of the BBC into a slight shadow of what there really is out there, in all walks of life, in all countries and in all professions.

Don't get me wrong, Auntie Beeb is nothing to shout about in the cause of being whiter than white, but there is no such thing these days on any corporation/country scale, and to expect it is akin to expecting Fulham to place 1st in the Championship and win the Prem next season, ain't gonna happen, this year, next year or however much we dream it will.

Operation Yewtree

...ย  but how many prosecutions came directly from that?

Of all the various operation that Yewtree spawned, i believe there were many non-BBC personalities, from various professions, investigated as well. Given the apparent propensity of powerful people in that era to be involved in such things, i would suggest that those of the BBC were a reflection rather than the nest of such people. That, in no way at all, will ever excuse those that did, it was disgusting and ruined many a young life, as the stigma remains for a lifetime and can cause ripple effects for the rest of the victims life as well.

Complaining about our goals not being reported in bold is not a particularly significant issue certainly not a denomination of bias unless you want to study the relative bolding of all teams goals and if there is a huge spike against us which there almost certainly will not be.

There are strong claims on both sides of the political divide about bias which must indicate they are doing something well. However it does seem somewhat awry to conceive of the organisation whose head of politics becomes the PMs adviser of having some kind of left wing conspiracy.

If you don't like the service then there are other places you can get updates from.
