Some Positives Today

Well I came away from the Cottage today a happy person. We had rescued a point after being 0-2 down to a tough street wise team with a very organised and tough defence. Preston lookedlike overrunning us early in the game but gradually we adjusted and finished the match looking the better team.
Next week we are away to Villa , another difficult fixture but there were three big positives for us today that should give us some extra confidence.

1. Cairney is back and adds class to the team.

2. We now have a player who can score from the spot.

3.Fonte had a good game and seems to have adjusted to the pace of the Championship. He attracted a lot of rough play from Preston and earned us a penalty.
At last we have a striker who looks the part.

We continue to play as a team and slowly performances are improving, just shorten that injury list and we can start thinking of a top six place again.

The glass is definitely half full. Yes everyone went home with a smile on their face given the circumstances, so it is positive.
We are nowhere near the finished article, but we could be, depending on shortening the injury list, and bringing some Cavalry along in the January Window.
In the meantime, we need to ensure the team builds on this moral victory and extend this unbeaten run by picking up maximum points, or at least pick up points in every match.
By January 1st we need to be in the playoffs at the very least, and top two is the target before the end of the season.
